Your Last S&W Revolver Acquisition???

I just bought my first Smith it is a Performance center 460 with a 10 3/8 barrel. It has reminded me of the 686 I had in my possession 30 years ago that cured me of any need for a Smith. That one came to me as collateral for a loan when the guy surprised me and showed up with the money to pay off the loan I could net get my safe open fast enough. Like the 686 this one has poor timing, a wide cylinder gap .009 and light primer strikes. As for accuracy I have yet to see anything better than 4 MOA. Unlike the 686 which I could get the bullets motivated down range this one wont get the bullets motivated any where near claimed velocity's either factory loads or reloads. I know it needs to be sent back. But the last time I sent a gun back the people that could not set it up the first time correctly made sure it had the same problem the 3rd time it left. I ended up fixing it myself. When I pointed this out to Smith and wesson they told me it will void the warranty. I bought this because my friend convinced me that a performance center would be the answer to my goals of shooting at distance. My plan was to take it out to 1000 yards and beyond.
Sorry to be a bummer just disappointed yet again with a smith. And to think I am a big Fan of Jerry Miculek. I should have known if Smith and wesson has there pic of him shooting an AR backwords on there main page what should I expect from the firearms.

Glad you clarified that you were looking for the most recent, as I cannot promise it will be my "last".

10-5. An impulse purchase while picking up a transferred Brand X revolver. Haven't shot it yet but looking forward to sending a few FBI loads downrange.

Is this one, by chance, one of the 10-5's from Kings?

22 Outdoorsman with HBH. Worn finish but great shape and way too inexpensive to pass up.

I just got this one off Gunbroker. I bought it for $800.00 at the 2008 SWCA Annual meeting. After I bought it,the dealer later came to me and asked if he could have it back because another dealer was buying several guns from him and said the deal would not go thru unless the S&W Employee gun he had seen earlier was included. Being the nice guy that I am, and the three of us were good friends, I sold it back to him. Fast forward to 2019. I'm looking on Gunbroker, and there it is! The dealer that wanted it now has it for sale on his website! Long story short and over $2,000 later, it's finally home.

So today I got my 629 back from SW. They proved to me they are still the best around.
Looking forward to sharing the story and useful info on my new SW.
My beautiful new 3 screw, swing out cylinder hand ejector is sitting next to me as I type this :)
It's just amazing.
I'll get you guys the story hopefully this weekend.

This beautiful K-22, unfired since leaving the factory in 1952. The gentleman who owned it bought it new and loved it till the day he passed recently. He lived in God's Country, da Upper Peninsula of Michigan giving me a special bond to it. This is the second revolver I've purchased from his collection, both in similar condition. I won't have it for a few days, but I have "purchased it". Seller's pics .....
