Your most accurate revolver ?

Toss up between my dad's 1949 K-38 6" and my own 25-2 6" If I do my part they almost one hole. Have yet to see a S&W revolver NOT shoot very well.

The most accurate big bores in my current Smith revolver fleet are the 627 V8 PC and the 610 3 7/8".

It really depends on the day & how well the old eyeballs are at the time....

For me its my Model 22 1917 Classic model.

I bought it new and, when I put on larger grips, voila!!

I don't understand why that gun is so accurate. I just bought a stock model and it shot that way out of the box and, btw, the trigger is smooth as silk as well. (I must have been lucky and just got "one of those pistols" if you get what I mean.)

You know, there is no rhyme or reason for it. Almost cosmic in a silly sort of way.

Edit: A couple of guys at the range shot it very well also.

One of the guys was an older retired military guy, who can shoot very well, and he came over and asked about the gun. I told him it was an "imitation" and let him handle it and shoot a cylinder full of ammo.

He loved the trigger, and when he shot the first two rounds he said, and I quote: "Whoa, what the **** is up with this gun? You got a keeper here".

I'm telling you it's almost "cosmic". (I've only shot FMJ "hardball" ammo through it though.)

I've done absolutely nothing with it other than larger grips and a good cleaning of the innards when I bought it. NOTHING ELSE!!

In rimfire, my 1957 vintage K-22. In centerfire both of my Ruger Super Blackhawks in .44 Mag.

Aha! You got me Chad! It wasn't yards - it was feet - a whole 75 of them.

Of course having a nice, solid sandbag rest was a big help. So I guess that's sort of cheatin', right?

I got some 686's, and some 586's. They are all very accurate, but my 6" Colt Python is amazing.

Besides a Thompson Center Contender, the most accurate handgun I have owned was a six inch Model 14. That sweet .38 could drill HBWC into the same hole from the bench. I used to use it for squirrel hunting.

Love posting pics of this ol' Model 64

Next would be my Model 14 6" and Model 19 6".

I'll have to say the same as others,my 686 rules for me.
25 yards while sitting at the bench s/a each shoot, with 686

Same distance and sitting with my glock 22.

Because of this kind of accuracy,i still carry my 686 way more than my glock.Though i do practice more with my glock(i need it to)

Right now its a toss up between my 29-2 and my 27-2. The 27-2 is literally a one holer at 25 yards, but the more I have been tinkering with the loads with the 29-2, the more accurate it gets, and it gives the 27 a run for its money. Hot on their heels in 3rd is my 3 screw Ruger Flat Top .357.

I dunno. My K-22 and my 19-4 (with HBWC's) will both hold the X ring at 25 yards. I've never measured the groups.
