Your most formidable handgun

586 L-Comp. Ridiculously accurate, it's like all I have to do is think about where I want the bullet to go.

My Model 13-3 with a 3 " barrel. I bought it with the intent of replacing the factory grips. However, this gun just feels right as is. For me it is as good as it gets.

A close second is my blued S&W1911. These two are my favorite handguns.

Model 58 .41 M&P

It was there when I needed it.

I am really more of a revolver guy, yet this old remington rand could do the job. It was highly worked over by pachmayer many years ago, is super accurate and has never jammed on me. I just need to practice more with it as it seems I always grab a revolver. I have owned it about 40 years.

feralmerril, is that holster a muzzle forward cant, like the Bianchi Speed rigs? If so, what kind is it?

10mm Glock G20. Also the ultimate G20 accessory a G29. Next choice would be my .357 SIG G31. All three of these shoot like lasers.

Not too far behind is my Ruger SR9. Fits my hand like a glove, and hits exactly point of aim for me out to about 15 yards.

I also have the twin to WC145's 586 L-Comp, just without those gorgeous grips. I've never felt undergunned with a .357 that hits where I look.

If you want to go wimpy, my Kimber 1911 .22 lr can shoot the left eye off a fly at anything out to 15 yards. After that I have to settle for hitting the whole fly...but I'm working on it. I honestly wouldn't feel too undergunned with it, if it were all I had. Accuracy is king.

Jellybean, yes. Forward cant. That is a Alphonso. I just had to go recheck myself as in the back of my mind I would also had said bianchi. I even wore revolver holsters years ago where the muzzel was kicked forward. I think my chief might have raised a eyebrow years ago but never stopped me. They are the most "natural" draw there is for me. I had a beautifull rig from Don Hume "River rig" for my DAs made up like that too with the forward cant, and it got stolen probley by kids who probley got all of $5 for it at the pawn shop!

No pics, but here's my choice....

Springfield Armory 1911a1 WWII Parkerized. It fits my hands beautifully, points naturally, and is utterly reliable. Plus its a .45. BIG BOOM!!!!!!!

feralmerril, Thanks, I have a Bianchi speed holster for 1911s and one for N frames. I had a local leathersmith make my duty holsters for me and several of them are muzzle forward designs. They were the fastest I'd ever used and caught quite a bit of attention on the range.

Scoped Reminton XP-100 in 223 Rem. Yes it's a single shot, yes it's a bolt gun, yes its slow, and yes it busted the bottom of 5 old Budweiser cans in a row. Old beer does explode nicely. And I shot at the bottoms because the cans were laying on their sides at 135 yards on the back of the berm. The stock is Fajen laminated red, white & blue.

Now just how far away do you want to be to be safe? The .30-30 shooters were really silent after the 5 cans. :):)

My I will get you pistol. Just try hiding behind a block wall. It will break them up. Deadly accurate out to 100 yards. And all but the very newest body armor fails 40 yards and under,,, no problem. Shoot through glass,,, what glass it ask. And a fantastic trigger to boot. Or would it be better to refer to it as a switch. :) Just needs new furniture.
