Your screen name, what does it mean.

After flying "crew" in a B-17, B-24, and B-25, and visualizing how it would have been in an arial combat situation, I realized that the 17-18 year old boys manning the .50 caliber guns in those bombers were truly some of the bravest men in American history. I wanted to recognize and remember them with my screen name.

In remembrance of my Grandpa, Staff Sgt. Robert C. Ellenwood 1920-2007, US Army Corps of Engineers, New Guinea 1942-43, and all of our WW2 Veterans, living and dead.

I'm on some engraving sites and a scrimshaw forum . I sell a little of both there and e-bay so I thought CAR-VER would fit me . I have sold some scrimshaw grips and a few engraved silver coins here .

really enjoyed reading Evan P. Marshall book Handgun Stopping Power and Fell in love with the Federal 125 gr. .357 Hollow Point Bullet.

In almost every forum I have ever been a member of, my forum name has always been Lesmith. Larry Edward Smith = Lesmith. Being some what slow at times it never entered my mind that I was joining a "Smith" & Wesson forum here and that LE stood for Law Enforcement. So picking Lesmith as my name here was sort of stupid.

My handle is BUMMER, that's what my father-in-law calls my son. I desided to use it because most people call me other names that cannot be used in a public forum

Rancid Crabtree. I'm a big fan of Patrick McManus. I initially tried to use Retch as a username in honor of Retch Sweeney, but Lee thought I was being crude. R Crabtree it is...although I consider myself to be more akin to Sweeney :)

BoB the palindorme. Relatively self explanatory even though in the truest sense not a palindorme such as the Canadian, "A race car a." Idea came from a song by Riders In The Sky, "Palindorme, Palindrome, what's in a name. Palindrome, Palindorme both ways the same." Sung to the tune of the old TV show Paladin.

bayfisher is self explanatory to those who know me. I live less than a 100 yds from the gulf of mexico. still i enjoy fishing galveston bay than going offshore in my 19 ft. bay stealth. I have spent 3 days out of the last 5 fishing (trying to get it out of my system before the labor day weekend) Nobody with any sense wants to be caught in a holiday weekend at the boat ramps. Thats why i went to the range for three hours today.:D

Vegetaman is based off a television show I used to watch when I was 12 or 13, called DBZ. I don't watch it anymore, but I've used the username for so long and in so many places, I've hung onto it.

One of my Motorcycles is a Kawasaki Vulcan. One of my buddys wife started calling me Vulcan Bob and it stuck.

Well, I'm from Missouri and Spouse says I can be a little stubborn (could she be right??) but I chose 'mule' because the critters don't stop once they're on task. (Pepe LePew just didn't fit well with MO.)

Lots of entertaining stories associated with screen names. I found the "Iggy" story moving. Good folks on this board.

Chris
