Hopefully this won't get moved since I spend most of my time at the forum on this page. The title says it all, I have seen some very interesting screen names here and was wondering the meaning behind them.

Mine was from the different car forums, I have a hard time remembering my screen name, And the first forum I joined, Peter was taken, My one truck was green, So it was Pgreen, Then when I joined here, I was also on Dodge forum, Truck is red, So Pred.
Peter.

If I had it to do all over again I would change it. Refers to the town I reside in.
I'm a member of a few gun forums some I still frequent some not. Several know me and in a way I hate to change and start anew.

Miss Fire sorta just came to me when I was thinking of a user name.
Some so-and-so already took Big Dog, which has been a nickname for me for a few years.
People that know me well call me "Dog" and I actually answer to it as much as I do my given name.

Mine, as some of the ones above, is my initials.

Thanks for asking!

Mine is my name. Hi, I'm Shawn, nice to meet you!

Well, the last half is my first name. If I was to do it again I think walter mitty would be more appropiate.

My Italian last name begins with a "D'", and I owned a photo studio. It was called d'pix. I started using the depicts in photo internet sites in 1994.

Well since I started it.... I am not a handyman by trade. My wife started calling me her " handyman" after we bought our first home , I refused to hire anyone for a job I could do my self with the right tools. I do have a nice tool collection after all these years.

When I first discovered forums I was going to use my name but a computer geek at work said never use your real name on the internet. Since then I learned he was full of hooey but I started using K.38 before I figured that out.

K-38 from S&W is my favorite revolver and the K-38 I have now is from a late gunsmith friend of mine.

Shortly after Algore invented the internet I joined a machine gun forum. At the time I only had one and it was an M16.

I was born and grew up on a farm in the Coastal Plain of Georgia. Now most of the Coastal Plain is real sandy soil, but our 170 acre farm is located in the middle of about a 5000 acre area of red, rich soil, and it is known locally as The Red Level.

Mine is work related. PHS = Public Hospital of the Town of Salem, 3194 the last four digits of the hospital phone number.

First forum I joined was Bengalszone. Grew up as a Cincinnati Reds fan. ( in Cincinnati ) When I joined Bengalszone, I wanted it known that I was a Reds fan as well ... redsfan2

In Gonzales some folks call it Guntown. I guess because of the "Come & Take It" cannon, and also Gonzales tends to be pronounce Gunzales. The uncle part is because I was only an uncle when I first started using it as a screen name on other sites.

was in the car audio business for a long time. I've been using the screenname ever since Al Gore invented the internet in 1995.

When I started working for an insurance company everybody had an assigned "user ID" that was the first three letters of your first name and the first three letters of your last name. (Unless they spelled something obscene.

I ended up with deadin and have used it everywhere since.

(They had a real problem with one of our Vietnamese whose name was Ng Po (or something like that))
