Agreed. Fame is fickle, especially in that industry. When "You're Only Lonely" comes around on the oldies station I often listen to, the volume always gets turned up.

I always wondered if he was one of those songwriters who did not seek fame. Either way, he wrote some first class songs.

I replaced my worn out Souther, Hillman, Furay "Trouble In Paradise" vinyl with a new/sealed copy that I found in a small record shop on Long Island last year. Their self-titled and "Trouble In Paradise" albums are very well done. All 3 musicians have had storied careers and are vastly underrated. RIP, JD.
