Pedersoli makes the most affordable double rifle that I would trust.

It comes in .45-70, and hot loaded- should be able to do just about anything in a pinch.

I almost always just stop and pick up a rental gun at the Zoo Gift Shop. They can give you the best advise. For a few bucks extra you can get a zoo employee dressed as a Tarzan style native to carry it for you. If I recall correctly it is called the Bwana special.

Please be forewarned as I learned this the hard way, If one of the big fish in the aquarium looks like he's coming after you remember he can't get to you. Man that was a lot of water coming out of that big ole tank. Worst of it was the gun got wet and I lost my deposit.
