So I rediscovered that I still like this since I haven't had it since I was a kid. I bought the Manwich Original but they had a couple of other options and then there was the Heinz Sloppy Joe. So now that I'm reliving a childhood favorite...

Which one is/was your favorite?!?!?!

I really had no idea how much I would still enjoy this.... ;)

I should have never read the "Jungle" by Upton Sinclair. I have never trusted processed food since. Knew a guy at Wright Patterson who would get on a frenzy and have homemade sloppy Joes for all three meals for months at a time.

Go with Hunt's. The other one puts money into the pockets of the Heinz-Kerry bunch. That's plenty of reason enough for me.

John

I try not to let politics dictate my every purchase , but in the case of Heinz , I will.

Actually , the Heinz Foundation does a lot of wildlife conservation efforts.

When I eat a sloppy Joe, I get it from one of our local BBQ joints. Mucho better than anything from a Ketchup (or Catsup) company. So I vote "gross".

I remember as a boy when things were rough eating just tommatos on toast and that wasnt bad. Mix up a little burger in it and I still wont turn it down.
Years ago I was on the atkins diet where I was eating nothing but meat. I am here to tell you I found out I could eat burger longer than steak!

I have tried store bought, but not at all tasty to me. Homemade is the best. My Aunt Bud was locally famous for her Sloppy-Joe recipe, which used bottled chili sauce. Tried to make some S-J recently; and the chili sauce is greatly changed from the 50s [what isn't?]. Not to mention using 93-7 beef instead of maybe 75-25.

Regards,

Dyson
