Warning owner armed decals on home?

Think you are asking for trouble when you use any kind of firearm related decal anywhere on your house. Every once in awhile, the NRA will send out decals and when I get them, in the trash they go. Have known at least two of my friends who had such decals on their trucks/ Trucks that were either broken into or outright stolen. So no decals for me. Frank

Or at best the "paragons of tolerance" will show their open mindedness by vandalizing your car.

Not only do I not display any firearms related stickers anywhere I also make a point of removing my name/address labels from any gun related publications before I throw them out . This includes any packages I have received that mention anything about containing ammo or other related products.

I take this one step further. If it is not something that I can shred in its entirety, I take off the page with my name and address on it and shred that. Then whatever is left I put in a trash container that is dedicated for stuff that does not have my name and/or address on it.

Has anyone ever seen a Gadsen flag flying over ANY government facility ? State . Local . or Federal ?

Yes. There was one on the wall of my second floor office in the unclassified section of the U.S. Embassy in Sarajevo, BiH. The bad news is my predecessor hung it there as a political statement, and had an easily recognizable political sticker affixed to his desk. Both were astonishing violations of the Hatch Act; those violations and significant others is why my precessor (GS-15) was escorted from the Embassy and booted from the country as 'persona non grata' by specific order of the Ambassador. I thought it wise to remove both political items on my first entry into the office.

No one is above the law. Not even a GS-15 with a security clearance. :)

Never, ever, put gun related stickers or decals on my trucks, vehicles, or on my home. I’ve always felt that the mystery of the unknown, whether you have guns or don’t have guns was a deterrent. My feelings is don’t advertise period.

I am in the camp of do not advertise that you have firearms and in my opinion that would be the best course of action for anyone in todays toxic climate.
That being said I fly my Navy Jack every holiday. I am proud of it and will continue to do so.

Obviously not in any official capacity .

How would any foreign visitor or locally employed staff know that? There are US, host nation, and regional nations' flags throughout our Embassies. They'd assume if it was displayed, it was official.

Not cool....I've never seen anything like that, and I've been to state fairs, county fairs, and a few goat-ropins'.

Wow this has been very informal to me thank you everyone who is dropping knowledge on me! I’m on the younger side of this group (28) so I have a lot I can learn from other’s experiences. Thank you and it looks like I’ll be passing on these! Thank you for the advices on the cameras and alarms before we got the keys I went out and bought about 4 camera from ring and an alarm for the windows and doors if they were to be opened. As far as the flag flying under ol glory I truly didn’t know that part and looks like I can now add a second flag pole to ensure proper flag etiquette. Thank you gents hope everyone has a safe week!

Many of us are in our 70s & beyond so there’s lots to be learned here. Glad we were helpful & pls know there are no stupid questions here.

You misunderstood my point I guess . The flag in your office was not an official US flag . Just because it was there , does not make it official . And I assume we both agree it is not " official " regardless of where it is flown .
