If this is a re-post, I am terribly sorry. I DID do a search before I started this thread and couldn't really find anything about it.

Anyway...here goes!

I hear the term "end shake" tossed around on here from time to time and in all my years of buying. selling and trading Smith & Wesson revolvers, I've never knew what "end shake" meant.

Sssooo...what does it mean?

It's how much the closed cylinder moves back and forth in the direction of the barrel. Measured by the difference in B/C gap with the cylinder back and with the cylinder forward.

Thanks Buck. I thought that maybe it had something to do with the guts. I played with a little J frame in the local toy store today, gave it a firm downward shake and I could hear something rattling inside.

Maybe it was just the flag moving around or something.
