First and Last..

This thread proves the old saying "Make a customer happy, they will tell 2 people. Make a customer unhappy, they will tell everyone they know, and everyone who will listen."

Just sayin... ;)

I think you guys that are saying you would never buy another S&W product because of ONE gun are out of you gourds. Ok so you have a problem, SEND THE DAMN THING BACK AND GET IT FIXED, simple as that. I mean get real people, seriously. And saying that you're going to sell it when you get it back from S&W? Why? You're going to have a functioning gun, why would you want to sell it? Because you had problems with it before? It pisses me off to read this crap. I bought a S&W9VE pistol one time and had problems out of it, but I still bought the 15-22, I also just bought a m&p 9mm a couple of weeks ago. Stop complaining, get the problems worked out and shoot the gun when you get it back.
I never once said I was going to stop purchasing S&W products. I in fact intend to purchase more. I very much like S&W, but the 15-22 is JUNK straight out of the box. I will never purchase another one of those. Apologies if I mislead anyone.

I own many S&W revolvers: .32 1st issue, .32-20 my grandmother left me, about 8 .38 specials, M66 .357, and the list goes on. I will continue to purchase revolvers. For me that is S&W not long guns or semi-auto. My $.02 worth.

No, YOUR 15-22 was junk, actually the whole gun wasn't, just part of it was. I have over 1,400 rounds through mine with TWO fail to feeds. And that was due to me loading the rounds in the magazine wrong. I think you, AK MIKE, and whoever else are saying these are junk are just narrow minded.

Relax Pat, people are intitled to their own opinions. Coming on here and calling people names because you disagree with what they have said is not productive or benefical to the thread. If you have information about the M&P 15-22 that you would like to share, by all means share but the childish name calling is pointless. You don't know the people you are calling names, you have never met them. So how can you justify the name calling?
Just take it easy and don't take everything so personally.

"I threw almost 500 rounds of Winchester ammo away. Winchester ammo sucks"

Pot calling kettle?

Well, there has been some progress w/ S&W. A nice person named Paul called me and we discussed the problems. I told him that the original person I talked to said he was going to US mail me a call tag. He responded that he would email me the tag--and he did. I wonder why the first person didn't do that? It would have saved several days.

Anyway, I'm following the instructions and I'll see what happens, how fast it happens, and if a repair happens.

I'm way to old to be an optimist anymore but I'll let you know how this progresses.

Larry

I have had my share of dealings with S&W CS as of late myself. There is a fellow there (never got his name) that is somewhat curt and has promised (and failed) to e-mail the FedEx shipping tag. When I called back I lucked out and talked to a woman (again, no name) who pulled the account up and said there was no record of a tag being sent. She sent one on and it arrived before she said it would. This exact process has happened twice (two different guns). Once is an accident, but twice is a pattern. I think there is a fellow there that just takes the complaint and doesn't send the tag.

No, the .22 Winchester ammo that I had DID suck. There's no fixing 500 rounds of ammo, you can fix the 15-22, so why get rid of it when you get it back from S&W? I shot the Winchester ammo through a Walther p-22, a Ruger 10-22, and a rifle that my grandpa gave me and it would not shoot through any of the guns, that justifies throwing it away. And it may have just been the type of Winchester ammo that I bought, I've never really bought anymore Winchester .22 ammo, I just picked it up at wal mart because that was the only kind they had. That's not saying that I would never buy anymore Winchester ammo though, because I have over 3,000 rounds of Winchester ammo (9mm,.45) sitting in my closet.

First of all, my 15-22, purchased in December from a local police supply store, has been very reliable. I've put about 400 rounds through it and after two FTF, I read about the mag loading procedure. Since then, zero FTF, and zero FTE from day-one. I am very happy with my purchase.

Interestingly, I ordered three mags from the S&W website on New Year's Eve, I think. After reading about the delays from S&W, I ordered three from 44mag.com a few days later, and called S&W to cancel the original order. I spoke to a guy (didn't get his name) who was a bit short - I'm from the South and we notice these things ;-) - but confirmed that the order was cancelled.

Saturday, three mags from S&W landed on my front door. I sent an email to the Customer Service email address explaining the issue, and that I will ship them back if they send a call tag.

The response from Mark Rossini was "Its on the way"; poor spelling and all. That was it.

No "Sorry to bother you with this and we appreciate you taking the time to send them back even though it was our fault..."

Midway USA, on the other hand, replied twice to my question, asking how I could buy one $5.00 crush washer for the flash hider I bought from them. I had lost the original washer.

The Midway customer service woman offered some great info and thanked me for my business. Then, the owner Larry apologized for the delayed reply (a few days) due to his being at a convention, and offered good info as well. He also thanked me for my business...that had consisted, at that point, of a grand total of about $8.00.

A short, impersonal note (on something that was their fault), and after buying a $500.00 rifle vs. great info and personal replies (and from the owner) for something that was my fault, and after buying an $8.00 flash hider.

Makes you think...

BMW, i agree, midway usa has pretty darn goog customer service. i've ordered quite a bit of gear from them in the last month and it's all arrived ahead of schedule. they might not be the cheapest but i'm impressed with their overall service. they are like the cabela's of shooting gear. they have a customer for life.

MidwayUSA has ,by far, the best cs going. I bought a rifle stock from them and then got deployed for 14 months. I returned home and installed the stock on one of my guns. After about another year or so went by the stock developed a hairline crack in it. I called MidwayUSA and explained my story and that I had bought the stock over 2 1/2 years ealier and I was told to send it back and got a full refund. Unbelieveable!!!!

I agree, Midway is best at what they do. I also like that they have buyer reviews. I've made choices whether or not to buy products based upon what I read. Midway has good prices though they are not always the cheapest.... but their reputation and ease of doing business with is often worth a few extra shekels.
