I finally got a call back from them. The CS woman (Ronda) was nice enough, but (and this may not be her fault) she wasnt able to tell me what item on my order was backordered. :confused: I would think thats first grade of CS. I asked if I could swap the out of stock items out, for items that ARE in stock.. she said that she "has no way of being able to tell.." gotta love it... anyone have a reliable source?

It just occurred to me what the problem is. BoTach doesn't sell plumbing supplies. :D:D:D:D
 
Botach only really wants to deal with larger leo and military orders via the phone. I've ordered just one thing from them in the past, and they screwed that up.

yeah.. I know. BUT, if they sell to the public, they need to get their sh!t together, and do it right!

Agreed.

My experience with Botach was similar to others posted here. I had an order showing as shipped for more than a month due to a single item on back order. They took my money straight away and gave me no indication of the back order status of any items at the time of order. I was never able to get any kind of realistic status from them and they were rather rude at times. I'll never order from them again.
 
You guys need to check out sportsmans guide.. I keep having to back to them... they usually are the cheapest.. and if your a member you get even better deals.. even shipping snail mail its allways here in 5 days

+1 and the catalog is good for thumbing through.
 
It really seems to be hit or miss with Botach. If the item is in stock, you can get it quickly. If it is out of stock, you get no notice, your money is taken, and you can wait forever.

I've been lucky in the three times I've ordered from Botach. I did use their chat feature to speak with a rep prior to each order to validate stock status on the items I was going to order. I each case they were in stock and the items shipped quickly. Had the items not been in stock, I would have looked elsewhere.

+1 and the catalog is good for thumbing through.

Heh, that's my bathroom reading material, the SG shooter catalog. ;)

I recently placed my first and last order with Botach. I should have checked some reviews first. Same problem as others with items showing shipped but I had to call to find out they were not in stock. My credit card was charged the same day as the order but the refunds take forever. The customer service stinks!! Take a look at the Better Business Bureau reviews and Google “botach tactical complaints”. If the stuff posted on some of those sites is true its amazing LEO can even buy from them.

I appreciate that you are stepping up, and trying to help. But, with that said, I realize you guy focus on Gov't sales, BUT, I dont know that I would call the responders of this thread alone, "a few slipping through the cracks." Obviously everything is graded on a curve, and you have many more customers than just the ones that have posted here. but.. the fact that 1 happy customer, out of maybe 15-20 dissatisfied (potential / or past) customers, is obviously a pretty bad ratio.

If you are serious about making Botach a better company, maybe we start with some indication of products being in-stock or not. according to Ronda when she called me back, (after 3 calls to customer service) she wasnt even able to tell me if a particular product was in stock or not. That seems a little '1981'. ;)

In my case, I waited a month and a half, and had to be the one making multiple phone calls, just to find out that the product is not stock. Kind of frustrating, really.

I tried to order a caa foregrip from them. After about 3 weeks with no tracking, I called. The lady put me on hold for about 20 min and said yeah, there on back order no Idea when there coming in. I said, " It would have been nice for you to advise me of that at the beginning of my order" CANCELLED!!!!
Won't order from them again.:mad:
I'm in. I will consider your company again if you send me a tactical vest size 2xl.:cool:
 
BOTACH Service... AGAIN?

It's always good to see a company whose customer service wants to help customers...

Unfortunately, a similar thing happened on the SIG Forum... and some one from BOTACH posted offering to help (I think it was Dan, but I'm not sure until I take a look at the treads.)

After some contact the guy who had the problem said he finally gave up because the problem did not get solved even with the help of the person from customer service who posted.

I'll mention this post over on the SIG Forum and perhaps the people involved will join in here...

UPDATE: I found the thread on the SIG forum... and someone named Dan made the reply for Botach.

I have ordered from them several times. This last time was for a firearm on sale at what I thought was a good price. I did receive the firearm thru my FFL very quickly and was very pleased until several weeks later when they advertised the same firearm at a further reduced price. I sent them an e-mail voicing my concerns about the reduction in price (hoping they might give me a credit). However, like most of my efforts to contact them, they have not replied. The only success at contacting them was by e-mail for something I wanted to return. They sent me a return Number and it went back for credit.

Each time I ordered from them I thought long and hard because on the experiences I have had; however, they were offering good items I wanted at good prices. I haven't found another website with the same products at these prices.

Additionally, I have been experiencing similar results from other websites when ordering. Hard to contact and get info. I chalked it up to the Holiday season.
 
I bought from Botach a few months ago got my order quickly and i must say it was a positive experiance for me.

Guess i got lucky ???
 
Well, I e-mailed them about a week after I ordered to check the status, and never heard back then....I'll shoot you an email Dan with my concerns, maybe I'll hear back, we'll see
