Military gets 40% off the purchase of one gun

I tend to agree with Old Navy. I've checked with some local dealers and also with Davidson's and have yet to find a dealer who can beat S&W's discounted price offered by this program. I'm just glad to finally get close to owning one of the finest production made .22 target pistols available in the world.
Hey another 41 buyer, glad you were like me finally able to pull the trigger and get one on the way. :D I have only been wanting one since the late '70's.

S&W provides info on shipping

Got an email from S&W today in response to my inquiry as to when I can expect shipment of the pistol I ordered under the Military Purchase Program. The following is what I received:

"Your order is scheduled to be shipped in a few weeks. Just watch for a charge against your card and the dealer should receive it within one week."

Just another half-hearted attempt for us to buy the lock. No thanks.
Probably somewhat true, but lot were ordered in model's with locks. I would love a Squeeze Cocker but grip too small and wrong caliber. But oh dear me I ordered the M-41 7" that has no lock. :p

C/C hit today!

Moving right along. Would guess that my dealer should have a package from S&W for me by end of next week. Yahoo!!

They bill and ship as soon as possible after the CC is excepted. You might see it this week, early next week for sure. Be sure to let us know.

I spoke to Helene about 10 days ago regarding my order. I got the impression that S&W just doesn't have many guns on hand, that most are quickly shipped out to distributors.

While that makes good business sense, with the huge number of models they have, I'd have thought that there would be more in stock. Ought to know the status on my gun in a week. Don

That all depends on model you select, and how sales have been prior to your order. My guess is M-41's may be a few in warehouse, some popular models of M&P line and some J, L, & N frames may have a lot of guns ahead of your gun. I have a 7" M-41 ordered and another person that orders a 5" M-41 may get their order 2 or 3 weeks or more before me.

Still waiting....

for my Model 41 to arrive. As posted earlier, S&W billed my C/C on 2/22. Hopefully, it will ship next week. Got to admit I'm getting a little anxious.

Got a friend on his way in your direction for 3 months, USAR. I guess he missed too many drills or PO someone he should not have, I won't say the rank and MOS as it would make him stand out to you there.

That said, he's a good man and hope he returns safe. I won't hold his black powder guns against him, mainly because he builds them himself and even makes his own bullets including jacketed.

Just send Hellen asking if I could change my order to a 610 4" instead the 41 with 7" barrel. My days of entertaining the thought of competition or long past and I just don't need that expensive of a plinker. I don't need the 610 either, but......

old navy don't sell the model 41 short... most who have em like em. they are worth having even as "just a plinker"

It's here!!

Got a call from my FFL dealer this evening. My S&W Model 41 5" bbl has finally arrived. I'll stop in at my dealer's shop afterwork tomorrow and get the paperwork started. Yahoo!
