Can't Decide Between M&P45fs or 45c

I already have a M&P9c which I really like...carries easily, shoots smoothly and accurately. Now since I have some reloading components and dies, etc. for .45ACP, I figure that's a great reason for adding a M&P45.:D

I just can't make up my mind in choosing between the compact or full size. I might want to make it an EDC pistol, but was wondering how the larger size of the FS would affect concealed carry IWB in a hybrid-type holster, or OWB in a belt slide or OWB pancake holster like Ray's "enhanced pancake" at Lobo Gunleather...he made one of these for my SP-101 2-1/4", and it fits my revolver perfectly, carries high and close to my side, comfortable and conceals the gun very well.

Also, since I'll probably be reloading using both jacketed and cast lead bullets, I was wondering how well the .45M&P will feed and shoot using various bullet shapes and weights. Anybody here reload for their .45M&P's? None of the issues that came with reloading for the Glocks?...(partially unsupported chambers creating weak spots on fired brass, problems with lead, etc.)

I'd sure appreciate any input from owners of either the .45fs or .45c, and especially from anyone who owns a M&P in both the .45 and 9mm.

Thanks for your help in this decision.

I have both the fullsize and the compact .45`s. I like them both but I like the fullsize the best by a slim margin; it fits my hand the best and I find it to be just about as easy for me to conceal in an IWB holster just behind the right hip. I have not found anything that would not feed in mine but have not tried any lead SWC reloads in it. Knowing how well it feeds everthing else, they would probably do fine. You cannot go wrong with either, just see which one feels best in your hand.

I have the 45c and if you have medium to large hands go with the midsize.

I shoot reloads in my compact and it will feed SWCs just fine; however it does not prefer the short nosed ones. The long nosed H&G 200gr SWCs work just fine in the weapon. They do need a substantial powder charge to work the action.

I carry it in a IWB rig at 8 o clock. I'm a leftie and it conceals very well.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't notice that the larger M&P .45's come in both the 4" and 4-1/2" barrel lengths.

My hand size is probably small-medium, and so I wouldn't need the extra length of the larger grip size because of that. I think I'm going to need to get to a LGS that stocks all three, if I'm going to make a decision about the way the pistol feels in my hands.

I'll probably either go with the 4" barrel in either the compact or the larger mid-size. Are there any other differences between the two larger models other than the barrel lengths?

Thanks again.
