Have I completely lost it, or is this a half decent idea?

I've decided on a 3" J instead of the snubbie, and would like to add a .357 BUG (possibly a hand-off) to my routine. I won't replace my M&P40c, and I have complete faith in my more concealable pocket P3AT.

An ankle rig is an obvious consideration besides weak side IWB. But 3"? Does anyone even make such a thing?

Men with very long sleeve jacket waiting, just in case.

BR,

I've ankled this'n in the past & it ain't half bad.

I kinda prefer the full length ejector rod of the 3" barreled 'J's

I've not ankle-carried my 3" Js (ankle-carry just doesn't work for me), but I think the idea is a good one. :) Glad for this here thread and Dave's confirmation of the idea - you never know . . . ;)

my ankle holster is made by wolverine (they advertise in the american rifleman) i carry a 3"N frame with no problem...your J would be fine

Since I have worn ankle rigs and over the years used a Colt Detective Special, a S&W 3913, a 6906, a 640 and a Glock 26 as BUGs, I think your 3" would be do-able.
