"Custom Defensive Project" Guns

maybe not custom......but special order?

My all time favorite N Frame snubbie 657....gotta love 'em....I would feel badly about doing anything 'custom' to it, it shoots great, carries great, and the 41 is super versatile....the 170 grainers are traveling around 1700 fps....I sure would not want to be on the other side of that...

Very cool, Grayfox.

I would have put this thread maybe in the "Concealed Carry and Self Defense" section? That is where I look hoping to find topics like this.

In my mind, I keep seeing a 681 with a 3-inch barrel, some trick fixed sights, round butt, chamfored cylinder charge holes, polished trigger, action job, bead blast!

Or maybe a custom 28 snub!

What cool guns. I like them all!

I wonder why the same crowd that warns of dire consequences for using "custom" ammunition (reloads) for defense is not here warning of dire consequences for using a "custom" gun?

Yes the PC shop made them with the Green finish frame and black cylinder....Birdsong maybe? I would love to have one....there is a PC 681 on gunbroker right now, but it is ported (which I don't like very much)...

Here is a S&W model 19. Nothing special.
When I bought it the S&W had a cracked hammer, so I "bobbed" it. It also had no grips . Patrick Grashorn made the grips.
C&S Extreme rear sight installed.

It's like you pulled my "Gun Idea" file straight out of my cranium, those are awesome looking. I've been thinking about some of those grips for my Horton 24,and after seeing yours I'm diving in.
Your 19 is one of the most serious "working" guns I have ever seen. It just looks like it would shoot you then punch you a few times it's so mean.

I wanna see!

I saw one in a gun magizine once that was customized by Chestnut Mountain (I think) and it was very nice. Bobbed hammer/DAO, Wolfe spring trigger job, polished trigger, beveled cylinder, chamfored charge holes, radiused cylinder release, beadblasted; very cool!

I wanna see that one! Show us some pics/scans.....something!

I want one..anyone have one?

I know where one is in Houston...if you really want it, I'll call the shop owner and see what I can help you out with.

Aren't those guns built by Karl Sokol? Nice guns...very popular about 20 years ago.....Zebulon

I picked up a 455 HE that had been fitted with SW adj sight and 1917 cylinder. Barrel was damaged. Have a 4" M25 barrel intrans for install. Will share when complete

Whoaaa! Whoaaa! Hold It!!!!

This one started out as a 28-2. Somewhere along the line it got stripped for parts and I bought the bare frame.
The barrel came from a 25-2 and the cylinder from a 25-5.
Topped it off with C&S Extreme duty sights.
Did all the work myself. :D

Customized 3 1/4" Model 28 Snubby in .45 Colt.

Bigger holes are better. ;)

Did I get this right? .357Mag Model 28 to a .45Colt?!!!!!! Does this mean that I can basically take an N-Frame Revolver and convert it to another Caliber? Change a Model 27 .357 Mag to .41Mag? Or a Model 629 .44 Mag to .45 Colt? WOW! WOW! Is this really Possible?

Grayfox: Man o Man! What a Smith. If Smith made them in exactly that configuration I would buy two. One for each hand. What a nice set up.

I have an extra male child if you're tired of that 45.
