M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

Sides and bottom seem to be just short of 9 3/4 inches. Top looks to be about 16 1/2 inches (might be a little off because the MBUS are on, but not by much).

The product is crayons. Lots of threads dealing with this topic.

correct in this picture thread i learn how to color the m&p logos, thanks guys

  • step 1 - Clean the area with rubbing alcohol make sure it free from oil and dust particles. Then just rub and push the crayons tips in to it.
  • step 2 - with finger tip pressure, use rag damped with WD-40 to wipe off the excess.
  • step 3 - That's all to it.

Here's the current configuration:

1st Gen 15-22
JP Yellow springs
Airsoft EMOD stock
Hogue grip
Vortex StrikeFire Red/Green Dot
Troy cantilever mount mounted reversed (MBUS cowitness lower 1/3)
Magpul MBUS
Magpul pull on magazine
Uncle Mike's QD Sling Swivel cups and swivel
Magpul AFG (modified))
Troy rail covers
Smith Industries Vortex
UTG light

I've cut the handguard down in preparation for SBR'ing the barrel. I also modified the AFG. I took it to the scroll saw and cut it so I can move the AFG back against the mag well and took the Dremel to the front of it so that the light can be moved back, placing the switch where it can be easily actuated.

Should be getting my Houge grips but after that, I'm not sure I'll add anything up front; tempted to get a flashlight and/or laser but I want this to be a simple and fun plinker.

You might consider putting your red dot on a riser so that you don't have to bury your cheek so far. You could also use your iron sights along with the red dot. That's a handy thing to be able to do if your CR2032 battery dies and you don't have a spare.

Now, spend some money on a few bricks of ammo and go have fun with it.

Love the chopped AFG. Be sure to post tons of pics when it's and sbr

Think I saw that Red-Dot in Wal-Mart for like $30 bucks right? How does it hold up for a cheap Red-Dot solution? Was considering it before I found a leapers one I liked for about the same price on the internets.

Well, mine cost a bit more because I wasn't bargin hunting - paid 2x as much since I was buying locally and not at Wal-Mart (keeping the local gun stores in business; Wal-Mart can make money elsewhere.)

Sadly, I haven't even shot with the red dot on so I can't comment on it yet. I'm trying to do that this weekend.

The $35 Tasco Red Dot works great for me. My eyes are really bad, but I can shoot pretty well with the red dot. I take it on and off pretty often when I want to use my $30 Bushnell scope, and they both hold zero.
