Jack Webb of "Dragnet" fame was a Marine fighter pilot.

Louis Hayward, born in England and did numerous swashbucklers, was a Marine combat photographer and I believe photographed some of the Pacific landings from the beaches.

He was Admiral Fletcher in "Midway". He was in a lot of TV shows in the 70's often as the white collar crook.

He fought with the 6th MarDiv at Okinawa.

Not according to his Wikipedia biography and another supporting bio. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps.

Somewhere else I had read he washed out of flight training. This just says he was a crew member on a B-26 maurader.

As was Lee Marvin.

Mr. Marvin served with the Marine Corps during WWII in the Pacific and was awarded the Purple Heart.
