Cigars

Celebrated the somewhat surprising victory by the University of Maryland Terrapins over North Carolina State by enjoying a Dunhill Peravia on the balcony of Tyser Tower at Byrd Stadium. A satisfying win followed by a mighty fine cigar...in the company of great friends.

It does not get much better than that. ;)

Be safe.

as a daily cigar smoker, let me weigh in.

i puff bundled dominicans (2-3)daily, but on special occasions like relaxing on the deck with one of my sons i'll try any Oliva or an M1 Cusano Churchill.

both are mild & smooth.

your question about pre-castro days, from what i've heard, castro dug up all the best tobacco fields & planted sugar cane instead. these were the fields with the best soil & growing conditions.

I smoke Romeo y Julietta Habano Reserves, a robusto and I smoke altogether too many of them. Fact is, Glen Fidditch or Macallan's just tastes all that much better with one of the cigars in my other hand.

........and the little may is struggling to keep the doors opened in this economy. IF you enjoy going "out" to a shop to smoke, please consider buying your cigars there.
The Perdomo Champagne is my fav Connecticut shade wrapped cigar.

When I'm back stateside I always support local business and buy at the tobacconist, but here in Afghanistan we lack cigar shops.
