Remora no-clip IWB holster – value!

pocket carry???
I carry my 49 primarily in my pocket in the Remora. I like it that way cause I can either carry pocket or IWB if the mood strikes me. It is sticky in the pocket, the holster never follows the gun on the draw.
IMO it makes a great pocket holster for slash type pockets...such as my 5.11's, suits, khakis, and uniform.

I have now used and drilled with mine and the Night Guard .45acp for a great many hours. I'm very, very impressed. I'm ordering two for the Commander and another for the Night Guard. If you have found that IWB is uncomfortable for you, give this a try. They are cheap, comfortable and really hide your gun well. I have used mine while wearing a tailored suit and it simply causes the Night Guard to vanish. Oh, did I say I'm impressed?

I just purchased a Remora for my Taurus TCP with laser from a gun show today. Fit is great and so far it works great for IWB carry. I would recommend!

Well, it ain't pretty - but the Remora provides a really comfortable and totally concealable holster for the Commander. It will be perfect for wearing on long trips in the car, in my opinion.

Erich, you are a good salesman.

I just ordered one for my P220 and a pair of magazine holders.

:) Well, thanks amigo, but I don't want to be a salesman so much as to tell people about something that really works for me. Seriously, I wish these things had been around 25 years ago when I started carrying. Especially since there now seem to be sizes available for every gun I'd ever consider carrying - including my weirdo Rhino (which is another thing that I really wish everyone would be able to try - no recoil from a 25-oz .357 - wow! :) ).

What do you guys do with your non-clip/non-loop holster when you have to ... you know ... purge the tanks??

Most of the non-home facilities in my neck of the woods/travels have toilet tissue dispensers. My gun goes atop it whether in a Remora/IWB/or belt hoster. Sometimes in the holster; sometimes not.

An alternate location for the gun is on the coat hook that most facilities have on the door/wall.

Now if in an outhouse, I hold the gun in hand 'cause you just never know who might be lurking outside the door.

Be safe.

I'm no gun-gamer and it's my educated opinion that a whole lot of the rushed holstering one sees in so much training is no less silly (and a heck of a lot more dangerous - this is where those Walter Mittys tend to put led into their own legs) than the fat guy I just saw waddling down the street in Royal Robbins pants, 5.11 boots, and a Shoot-Me-First vest.

"shoot-me-first vest"...that's funny! :)

Not anywhere near original to me, amigo.

When I have to purge the tanks, I set the holstered gun in the cradle of my undergarments. Setting it atop the dispenser causes me some concern that it might be forgotten . . .

Reminds me of an Elmer Keith story...

After reading this thread, and as a new S&W 380 Bodyguard owner, I was interested in finding a good way to carry the little pistol other then just shoved inside one of my pants or jacket pockets.

I went ahead and placed an order this morning with Remora Holsters for a 2A RFT. Since then I have had several prompt email exchanges with Allan Bogdan who has more than answered my questions about this holster.

Looking forward to its arrival. If it works out well I will order one for my J Frame and Colt Defender as well.

I have the Remora Series #2 (not #2A) for my BG380. I love it. The fit is absolutely perfect even after months of use, and the holster is very secure. In addition, despite earnest attempts, I have been unable to get the laser to activate while in the holster, which was a concern (i.e., I was concerned that the pressure from holster/clothing/belt would activate the laser, but that concern has proven to be unfounded). I carry my BG380 in my Remora holster in all kinds of attire, from snug jeans to gym shorts to lounge pants, and it is immobile and invisble, which is exactly what one would want it to be.

Just ordered one yesterday. I've read all 8 pages of this thread and can't wait to try this holster!

Not to sound like a broken record, but I can't say enough good about Alan Bogdan (the owner of Remora). I emailed him a few weeks ago about some trouble I was having with my Remora holsters for my j-frame revolvers. He responded in less than 24 hours and put two "new & improved" versions of the holsters in the mail to me immediately at no charge and with no questions asked. I can't remember the last time that I experienced a manufacturer standing by his/her product in such an unequivocal manner. Two thumbs-up for Alan Bogdan and Remora Holsters.

Kind of like the three or four rubber bands wrapped around the magna stocks on my J frame.

Whoa... Old School! Works, though, eh? My Dad always had rubber bands around his Detective Special and never used a holster. Of course, that was the 50's and style didn't matter as much as utility.

I also ordered a 2a for my BG380 and after a few weeks found it to be just too loose, couldn't hold upside down without gun falling out. So I called Alan and told him of my feelings. He didn't question me, but said he would modify another one and send it out. Got it last week and after a few days it is now perfect. Great product, great service and great response. I will now order one for my 40c.
