The delicate flavor of a really good brew is ruined by the metallic taste imparted by metal cans. Beer/ale/porter/stout should only be quafted from a glass, or pottery, container. Drinking it out of styrafoam cups is even worse than out of a can.

Phishaw say I. Today's bottles are part plastic, and impart that foul taste to the brew. Bottles do have one or two advantages I grant. They are ballistically superior when empty, and thrown at the neighbors cat, possums, neighbors, coons, etc.. However, if I throw an empty can on the front lawn, a scavenger will get it in nanoseconds. A bottle will remain there till dinosaurs rule the earth again.

Cans.I don't drink beer anymore[i used to drink a case of Busch a day!!!]Nowdays i drink a can of Coke a day and use the emptys for target practice. ;)

Google "aluminum poisoning". I don'y buy anything in aluminum if I can avoid it.
The toxicity of aluminum is much debated, but I personally believe it to be very toxic. Most of my young years were spent working with electricians. Scratches to the skin from aluminum wire behaved quite differently from scratches caused by copper wire. They acted very much like they were infected when they weren't.

So, my answer is glass.

Bottles here. The stuff I drink don't come in a can.I also don't drink out of the bottle and try to use a proper glass or stein.I offered up a Bittberger to my friend and he took a pull out of the bottle before I could get him a glass. When I took it back and poured it proper he said I was right and it did taste better.

Cans and I sometimes pour the beer into a frosty glass mug; the wife likes bottles and they both get recycled.

I prefer draft if out, bottles at home and cans at the racetrack or wherever they don't allow bottles. I don't care for the plastic bottles.

Bottles, on ice.

I don't worry about them getting warm; there is only one drink in a bottle. That and it don't come in cans.

"Stay thirsty my friends"

I prefer ice cold longnecks , but to conserve space in the fridge and trash can , I usually buy cans , and pour contents into an icy mug.

Now ya made me thirsty!

I'm into alternative delivery systems. . .

I drink my beer from cans because I don't like the hassle of getting rid of the glass of bottles. I can recycle the cans after they have been run over if they wind up in the drive. I really like beer from bottles, just like my son, as long as he takes them with him when he leaves, which he rarely does. So I guess maybe I voted wrongly, hell, I think I'll go get a case of longnecks if I go into town today.
I still have a clay mug (1L), that I brought back from Germany in the '70's thats what I really like, the way it runs down your chin and onto your chest when you get a drink.
Peace,
gordon
