Nice looking grips but the humpback seems a bit too utilitarian for them...I think they'd look better on a nice blued 36 or a high polish stainless/nickel like that anniversary 38 super...of course the real test is how the feel...I like a little traction on my j-frame grips and those seem a bit slick.

For a working gun...

I prefer factory wood Magnas...

Even in the .357.

Failing that, the rubber stocks get the nod, but usually Pachmayr Open Back Professionals or one of the "Boot Grip" patterns as seen here on my son's 638.

They are nice grips but I am forced to agree with Sip:)

I think the rubbers will serve a better for the guns intended purpose.

OK Grips?

I like the pearls. If they feel good in YOUR hand and work well, excellent choice. Nothing like tactical pearl...

BTW, I have some pearls on my .41 Mountain Gun. Work like a charm for me and the look is just fine, to me.

Best,

I'd say it's your gun - do what pleases you and don't worry about what others think. If you like them and they feel good in your hands then by all means leave them on.

For what it's worth - I think they look nice.

Stags also look pretty good...and the scarring makes them easy to grab but still not stick to clothing...that is why I like magnas or stag....rubber is too sticky (especially on the ankle)...Pearl and smooth wood is too slick...

The first thing I did when I started carrying my Model 60 33 years ago was to change the grips to rubber. Since that time I have had on different brands and configurations of rubber, Stag, Elk, Hogue's, and even Ivory. Guess what I have been using on it for the last 7 years............the original Magna grips along with a Tyler T! I find that they are the most utilitarian when used in conjunction with the Tyler T. The stag and Ivory are nice, but for shooting I do prefer the Factory grips.

If you ever get involved in a dust up and your hands sweat those
pearl grips will be slicker than a snotty marble.
I've read that genuine mother of pearl will get tacky, or sticky, with sweat, but I don't know if that is true or not.
