S & W 5906

How do I buy firearms from CDNN? Obviously they only sell gun acceories on their site.

I have 6906 and if the 5906 performs anything like its little brother, then it's a great gun. I hope to find out for myself soon. :)

Call their toll free number and tell them what gun you would like to buy. They had my transfer dealer's FFL already on file so I didn't have to fax it over to them. The whole process took about 5 minutes.

Ah, Okay thanks. What are their shipping rates, particularly for a 5906? I tried calling them today but didn't even get a voicemail. I guess they're closed on weekends(?)

5906 sight question

Needing some answers on replacing the sights on an S&W 5906. I've seen three variations of OEM sighting systems. Fixed regular, fixed Novak low mount version and the adjustable.

Question: Will the Meprolight nightsight replacement fit into one or all of these variations of OEM sight on this gun?

The gun came with standard fixed sights and NOT the Novak low mount. Any help would be appreciated! Scott

Here's my '89...

Bought it a couple of years ago LNIB, if it had ever been shot I couldn't see any evidence of it. $300 out the door. Haven't had a single failure with it. It lives in the night stand and gets frequent range sessions. As someone mentioned earlier it runs well with my light target hand loads. A plain joy to shoot.

5906 is a great gun. I bought two of them, one from a local FFL and one from CDNN. The one from CDNN was in perfect condition. I put a set of Hogue grips on it and it's now the one I carry. I've gone thru a bunch of different holisters but have found a couple I like.

I liked the 5906 so much I bought the 6906 from CDNN and that was nearly perfect as well.

I was thinking of getting one from CDNN too.
But today I shot a MD59 and now have a question about the 5906 trigger.

On the 59 in single shot, the trigger is almost all the way to the back. There is not that much space between the trigger and trigger guard.

Is that how the 5906 S/A trigger is too?

trigger on 5906

I'm not sure what your concern is here about the trigger, although I'm not dismissing that you may have a legitimate concern.

On my 5906 there is about a 1/4" gap between the trigger and the rear of the trigger guard (which is actually the front edge of the grip frame) when the hammer is cocked back in single action mode.

All of the 5906's I've shot, including mine, have better triggers straight from the factory than any other semi-auto pistols I have shot.

Thanks for the reply.
So I guess it is just normal then.
Mine has about a 1/4" gap too and I have to squeeze the trigger all the way to the back before it fires.
I am just not used to it.

How many mags did the 6906 come with, and what shape was it in?
