M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

Nice shootin with the video camera. What was it mounted on? I love it when someone does some thing different.

I made my own mount using a bipod mount and gopro mounts.

Well, Since I've been lurking this thread for so long I figure it's time to post my baby here...

My One Week Old

Still lot's left to do. Folding VFG, Halo Sight, Paint the 3 new mags and whatever else I can sneak past the wife. So far I've painted the stock, grip, mag, flashlight holder and charging handle with Krylon Fusion Sand, crayola lettering and polished a few of the internals. Just finished my homemade rifle stand today complete with mag holders, spare ammo box and removable rear cushion. Going to work on removable rear clamp tomorrow for sighting purposes. Love this rifle!

Belt Fed's charging handle. Great guy to do business with.

Advanced Tactial camera. Got it yesterday and played with it in the back yard. Hope to get to the range this weekend and get some "action" shots.:)

Okay, I've looked at nearly 200 pages, so far. What doe's a weapon dressed out this much cost once your done ( or not ).

I've been to the S&W site and a " basic " is 500.00. So with your toys added, on this one, do you still have enough left for lunch money..

Do you ever see dressed out 15-22's for sale anywhere?

Number 2..the reply doesn't have to be from that weapons owner. Just an idea of a price range with all ( most ) of the commonly added additions that is seen on the dressed out 15-22's.
Ballpark figure will work nicely.
I don't own one, but would love to get one, soon, if I don't have to sell my car to do it right.

Airsoft? Really?

Thx

Accessorizing your AR or 15-22 is very personal. Everyone has different tastes on what they want. You can spend anywhere from $10 to more than the cost of the rifle itself on accessories. Browse any of the several online retailers mentioned in this forum section and look around. Start with an optic or red dot that you might like, add a riser if needed, then go to rail covers, foregrips, etc. Soon you'll have an idea of what's available and what you want, as well as the cost.

You can buy the MOE version of the 15-22 which includes MOE buttstock, pistol grip, and sights. It's a very good model and I like mine. All I had to add was a red dot, cheek riser, few rail sections, an AFG and I was done.

This cost me about $90 beyond the price of the base MOE rifle.

i have $120 in MAGAZINES...probably spent $250 on sights ( have a Bushnell 1x32 T-Dot with magnifier on the way and a Sight Mark Reflex sight) also $120 Magpul Upgrade ( Thanks Ebay) and $30 in rail covers....add that to the $415 rifle ( used) and its STILL cheaper than a Bushmaster AND i can actually afford to shoot it!

New 15-22 pics for an old thread

Bought a Colt and after disassembling and viewing the barrel and internals, I was scared away and sold it. Seemed to much like an airsoft. Then I bought a M&P 15-22. So far, so good. Absolutely no issues and a blast to shoot. Before i added the Eotech 512, Surefire forward grip light, Hogue grip, it felt so light, it was like holding a toy. Now with the accessories, it has definitely made a difference in the experience.

very clean and fresh--+5 on the quality approach rather than knock-offs

It was ~$500 for the rifle, right around $100 for the PA red dot, maybe $25 for rail covers, $25 for the vertical grip, add in 3 extra mags and a ton of ammo... Still about $150 less than the basic AR-15 shown with it, and that's getting ~6 mags, a new safety selector, and a few other things that will bring it close to $1000 before ammo.

Thanks! I've ordered Magpul stock and i'm done! Quality and simplicity. Wouldn't have it any other way!
Plus I can definitely play for a lot less than with it's big brother!

I gotta ask, what's the advantage of the Magpul Stock Vs. the Factory Stock? Sorry to be a newby, but it can't be helped.

No need to apologize. It's a good question. Here's my take:

1. The adjustment lever is mounted so that it can't be accidentally engaged.

2. The Magpul Stock is a snugger, more positive fit. The factory stock rattled a bit.

3. You can add snap-on Magpul cheek risers to customize the fit to you. They have 1/4", 1/2", and 3/4" snap on risers. The one thing to be aware of is that when the stock is fully collapsed, the cheek riser interferes with the bolt charging handle.

4. You can add different Magpul rubber butt pads to fit you better. Again, they have rubber butt pads of varying thickness.

If I could have, I would have bought the MAGPUL edition to begin with.

dont forget that it gives you additional sling mounting points and in my opinion a cleaner appearance as well
