Texas, those are quite a pair. Very nice. Who is Randy Lee?
And I am curious about a 625 no dash.??

I just found another 625-3 in a trade. Didn't know how many 3 inchers I had now so I grabbed them out for a group photo.

This has gone a bit far. Even for me.

Dude... That ain't right...

:D

Streetprowler,

They are S&W grips original to the gun. The piece was originally a 6" M&P the barrel was cut down and the square butt rounded. The stocks were sanded down and reprofiled.

Here is my one and only 3" S&W to keep this magnificent thread alive. Technically, it's a 3.25", but that meets the requirements of the thread. It is a newly acquired 66-5. I haven't shot it yet. But if it shoots as well as I expect it to, I'm sure it will become my favorite piece. I probably paid too much for this 66-5, but it's one that was at the top of my wish list. So happy birthday to me! Now I'm looking for a decent set of wood grips (the stock sevice grips are too small for my hands) and a good leather holster to complete the rig.

3 BIG SNUBBIES-MAN GUNS-N FRAMES

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I may have cheated by entering the 45acp snub. The top one is a 325pd with a 2.75 in barrel that is wonderfully accurate. Dont get the fixed sight Nightguard as they dont shoot to the sights. Next is a highway parolman that Allen-frame himself made into a snubby cutting the barrel and crowning it,action job, and a great job of enlarging the fixed sight track for sights.Allen chopped the barrel to 3.25 inches and its a keeper, shoots and carries great!!! Last up is a 624 no dash that a forum member sold me after he sent it to smith with a 3 inch barrel for them to fit. And fit it they did with one of the tightest b/c gaps that i have seen!! Sporting combat grips, it make a great carry piece.

66 after Apex reworked the internals

624 that the factory installed a 3 inch barrel on a square butt
grips frame

started out as a blued 29 till it was redone by Cogan

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

another COGAN

Above is a John Jovino Effector where they took a square butt 686 and roundbutted it and chopped the barrel
before smith made snubs in this model

44 HE cut to 3inches obtained from a fellow forum member

highway patrolman converted to a snub by own own beloved Allen-frame who has a proprietary rough finish which he gets by tying a rope through the trigger guard and the other end to his bumper. Then he drags it on the highway!!!

Greetings fellow Smithophiles.
Much has been discussed recently about the perfection that is 3" Smiths.
The 10s,13s,65s, 66s,547s,686s,696s,24s,624s,27s,657s, 625s.
And even the J frames with their full length ejector rods get the nod.
Everybody loves them. Everybody wants them.

They are cool and look bad A**.

To qualify for this thread it has to be a Smith and Wesson
between 3.0"s and 3.975"s.

Js, Ks, Ls, Ns, and X frames are all welcome.

So let's do this. Post pictures of all your Three inchers.

Edited September 2nd. 2011. Here is a group shot of all current 3in. Smiths.
Reallt didn't know I had this many. I may need psychotherapy. ..... Nah.
