I purchased a M&P 22 in early October and took it out to the range. Shot about 100 rounds flawless. Noticed when I got home the pin on the slide right above the S&W insignia was protruding out about 1/4 inch. Knocked it back with a nail punch and took it out the following week. 100 rounds..same thing. Sent it back to S&W whose had it since Oct 26th. Called today and was told they were waiting for parts in a couple weeks.(Comes from Germany, he said). A little disappointed since I waited since March for this gun. We'll see. Anybody else have this problem?

Dang. Sorry to hear. Kinda sucks S&W wouldn't have parts stateside. I'm looking into getting the 22 so I don't burn through my 9mm as often.

That does suck, probably just a poorly fit pin. Hopefully the parts will come in soon and they will throw in a few of the impossible to find magazines for your trouble too.

I have just under 2k rounds through my M&P22 with zero issues. I love this gun, a perfect complement to my 4.25" M&P40. :)

I've got 1800 through mine and have also had no issues whatsoever. Hope you get everything worked out!

Same here...M&P22 and M&P FS40. Both have been great. Now I got to decide to go 9mm or 45 in M&P or 1911. Or I can just get a 9mm conversion barrel.

To to OP, it sounds like the roll pin was a tad too small or the hole in the frame a bit large. Kind of silly to wait weeks or months for a simple pin.

MAnthony4563, make sure you follow up with us when you get your M&P.22 back so we know what the results were. Like someone else said, hopefully they will at least throw in a spare magazine for your troubles!

Well, it finally got back here from Oct 16th and the paper says it was a damaged roll pin. They tested it out with high velocity ammunition and it's supposedly good to go. I'll find out tomorrow when I take it to the range. And oh, by the way, no extra magazine included but I ordered one from CS and it should arrive Friday. OOOWHEE!

Well I took my M&P .22 and put 125 rounds of Federal bulk and 20 rounds of CCI mini-mag through without a hitch. Problem solved. Plus I just got another magazine that I ordered two weeks ago today and I'm pleased as punch. Only waited since March for this to happen. Now I'm after a S&W 1911SC E series to carry. Will it ever stop?

Lol. No it won't. Same as with most obsessions/ hobbies. Just keeps going..and going...and going.

Just got my M&P 22 and have the same issue. Roll pin creeps out to the left of the slide. Have tapped it in twice. Each time after about 100-150 rounds.
Seems pretty reliable otherwise. Eats all kinds of ammo, unlike my mosquito which prefers CCI mini mags.

The roll pin on the slide, of my M&P 22, starts to come out, on the port side (left).
I noticed it first a few months back, when it protruded enough that I scratched my finger on the roll pin. This is after approx. 500 rds.

Today, before I went to the range, I tapped the roll pin so it was equidistant on both sides. After 150 rounds, the roll pin has moved, so that it is just a bit (approx 0.010") past the side of the slide.

I've had this problem with a BG 380 and a .40 Shield.
