Great combo! I'm not too crazy about the rail that they put on those but other than that it's a nice set up. I've been getting the itch lately to pick a marlin 45-70

Sir, was it me, I'd switch the revolver to a .45 so I wouldn't have to carry two different bore brushes and jags.

Gotta agree with Ron H. I have a 625 Mountain Gun in 45 Colt, and the loads you can buy or can cook up yourself are well into the 44 Mag class; to the extent game couldn't tell the difference.

Great minds think alike... I like the extended tubular magazine on your Marlin 1895; I hunt with the same rifle (with a Leupold scope) and carry a 329NG as a sidearm. The only white stuff we have down here is sand.
