Favorite whiskey?

1.Bushmills
2.Jack Daniels
3.I know its not whiskey but Sailor Jerry, give it a try you wont regret.

Makers Mark is what I always have stocked. I like to try new stuff, but if I were to go on safari or something, I would make sure there would be a large reserve of Makers Mark.

It's cost for quality ratio is awesome too. 25 bucks for what should cost double.

The Whisky I drink has no "e" in it. My favorite is Laphroaig, Single Malt 10 year old.

Very Peaty, very good.

Just had some of this two weeks ago. If "peaty" is in the dictionary, laphroaig should have its picture next to it.

Not only is it peaty, but, in my own opinion, it clings to the mouth and throat like cough syrup. Which lets you enjoy the awesomeness even longer.

Scotch is my favorite. Highland single malts rule but I like Johnny Black and Dewars as well. Bourban in my golf bag flask. Beer is great but a real PIA on the golf course IMHO. Right now the flask has Old Grand Dad in it but I have a fresh bottle of Knob Creek waiting in the wings.

Royal Club by County Line Distillers in Bardstown, Kentucky. Cheapest bottle on the shelf, $14 for 1.75 liter and tastes better than Crown Royal. I'm saving for my next S&W revolver.

My fav is Danfield's Private Reserve, but it seems to be discontinued (?)
I have one unopened bottle left [sniff]
Currently drinking Jim Beam RYE until I can find another stash of Danfield's....
My brother manages a fairly large liquor store in a store in Jacksonville FL and even he can't get any - Argggg

Jack Daniels for cooking and giving to people I don't really like enough to give the good stuff to. ;)

Tullamore Dew for sippin' and my good friends.

But I do have a bottle of Sheep Dip I picked up in Scotland in the early 80's, never touched it, just wanted the label.
:)

In Tennessee Jack Daniels is for the tourists, George Dickel Barrel Select puts anything Jack makes to shame. To be drank as God wanted you to drink good whiskey, straight.

Thank You! I also feel that George Dickle Select makes the best Tennessee Sour Mash. It has more of a woody after taste while Jack Daniels is more peppery.

I like to try different whiskys and enjoy Scotch, Irish and American distillations of fine whiskey.

If you like "sipping whiskey", I agree with CW Spook that Lagavulin is the best! It is a true "sipping whiskey" because at $89.00 a fifth, you can only sip it unless you are Warren Buffet.

That's hillarious! You didn't end up in the back of a canadian RCMP car singing Bohemian Rapsody did you?

No, nothing like that.

It's long story from a long time ago.

When I drink whiskey I get mean and stupid. I was TDY at Kadena AB, Okinawa, It was Christmas Eve. Me and my roommate were bored and lonely. Our girls were stateside and the local bars were closed. So he breaks out some whiskey and we set to get drunk while playing cards.

While later shows me some bottle rockets he bought off base. So we stuck our arms out the window and light each one of them off.

Problem was, it was 2 in the morning. About 30 minutes later after we light the last one, some guy pokes his head in the window and flashes a badge. Turned out to be the new security police/law enforcement commander. Some full bird colonel.

He calls his buddies, they handcuff us and take us to the station. They grilled us for 2 hours and let us go. You could see those ***'s laughing at us in another room. :o

SO....... I've stayed away from whiskey ever since. Now I drink rum!:D

Southern Comfort contained whiskey once, I have no idea when that ended. Never the less around 1968 while living in a tent in of all places, Tent City on the periphery of Da Nang AFB I learned that Southern Comfort was good rocket repellent. Every other night I had to go to work out of a RC130 as a snoop. But on those off nights I would work on Southern Comfort. And, it worked as advertised.
