Here is an odd one for you. My neighbor Mark and I were burning ribs and having a visit by the cooker yesterday when he tried to call his wife before she left for work. He picked up his cell phone (ATT carrier) and it went dead in his hand. Turned itself completely off. He said "Man, my battery just went dead."
My phone was laying by the baste on the table and I picked it up, opened it and went to hand it to him when it turned itself off .(Verizon carrier)
Meanwhile Mark booted his back up. I turned mine back on and watched it settle in just to be sure it was back on. It was, then it shut it self completely off for the second time.
The next time I turned it back on everything went back to normal.
I read this morning sun flares were forecast with EMP. Could that do this or would it wreck the phones altogether?
We were not near any transformers or other electical items.
Could it be coincidence that both phones from two providers acted up at the same time?
It's no big deal but I do wonder about it. It was like we were in the Bermuda Triangle for cel phones.
Any ideas besides Canadian whiskey?
Thanks
Mike
