I see where this storm may be in the Gulf by Tuesday with winds at 80 MPH+. It may not come this way or we may not get the full brunt of the storm but I will start this afternoon getting ready for it. I've got plenty of food and water for consumption. First up is to stock up on non-ethanol gas. Charge the battery on the generator and run it some. Start to pick up a few yard missles. Get the 14' boat off the roof of the chicken house and put it out in the field where it can fill up with rainwater where it won't blow off. The closer the storm gets, the more stuff I'll do to get ready for it, if it even comes this way. Get a couple of thousand out of the bank because plastic doesn't work when the power is off. And most important...stock up on beer and bourbon. I've got a decent supply now because I was a victim of "The Great Bourbon Shortage Of Hurricane Katrina" and swore I'd never get caught like that again. (thank you Max and the little brown truck) I'll go down to the store and pick up a little more tomorrow.
