10 Rd Short Mags

So in June I ordered 2 of the shorter ten round box mags directly from S&W, and now they are telling me that maybe I might see them in September (thats not a firm answer either). So I have a few questions.

One - Is the S&W store always this slow with magazines or is something else going on on their end?

Two - Does anybody know who might have some in stock? I've tried a ton of websites (brownells, midway, CtD, Buds, etc) but nobody seems to have them.

(Side note first post by me, woo! And I have plenty of 25 round magazines, just want some ten round shorties).

It's not just the S&W store. They out of stock because S&W (or their supplier) hasn't done a production run in quite some time. The existing supply was exhausted a couple of months ago.

Magazines, like many other things, are manufactured in batches, rather than be in continuous production.

There are places that claim to have them in stock, but no one posting here has confirmed (that I remember) actually receiving any.

I'm betting the first two places to actually have them in stock, in quantity, will be the S&W store and 44mag.com.

I too wanted some ten round short mags to use when hunting... I called up S&W cause I couldnt find any in stock anywhere and they told me they werent even on this list to be produced anytime soon.....

Yeah, I ordered two directly from S&W earlier in the month I am in the same boat. I signed up on 44Mag to be notified when they have them but at this point I figure I'm just SOL.

One of my local gun shops has at least 6 on the shelf. If I remember correctly, they were around $20 a piece.

I just got an email from S&W that my 10 round mags shipped yesterday and I should be getting them today.

Might be the perfect time to order more if you need them

Mine were on backorder too. I ordered mine on August 15th. Getting very tempted to order more now that they have them, and hopefully they dont sell out on back orders alone
