Hello All Version 2 is in. Have not tested it yet just got them today.
they are 4.4 Grams This I hope will help. But Sadly I still think with some mags might still cause a problem. My suggestion is to anyone who wants to use it may have to clip the bolt catch spring.
We have dont the best Possible to make it work.

well thanks for trying paul! all we can do now is test them out and see if they work. looking forward to getting mine.

I'm swapping mine out on the way home from my LGS tomorrow (they have the 15-22 on sale for $389 so I'm getting my grandson one for Christmas!). I'll try to get to the range on Thursday, if not Wednesday afternoon to text the new one out.

figures my version 2 gets hung up in the mail and arrives 5 hrs after i get back from the range this morning. :(

looks like it might be another few days before i can test it.

I feel your pain! :)

Have you clipped the bolt release spring? If not, I suggest you do.

so is it visibly different or just a thinner version of the old one?

It is half the weight. It is somewhat narrower, with the tab at the end the same width as the length of the lever, rather than being wider. Also the back side has been hollowed out to reduce the weight.

FWIW, the original lever is no longer being manufactured.

well no dice - 3/4 of my mags failed to lock the bolt back. i havent decided if im going to cut the spring yet or what, ill let you know.

Please let us know if you do cut the spring and what the results are. I'm still on the fence about getting one and cutting the bolt release spring myself. I really do want one though because I run the BAD lever on my Colt 6720 and like it on there.

Well, if you want it to work, you'll have to cut the spring. Takes all of two minutes to drive the pin out, cut the spring and re-insert the pin. :)

Yes, that is correct. The original weight 5.something grams; the new one a little over 4 grams.

Other than a narrower "paddle" on the trigger guard end, they look exactly alike.
