I put the drill in a vice and chuck the shell holder then I hold the case trimmer/chamfer. Works pretty good for me.
I also liked that synthetic motor oil tip. Once I burn through the Hornady One Shot case lube I have, I'll give that a go.
I just watched the first couple videos in GMC's post. I see that at some point I'll need a primer pocket swager to process military primer pocket crimped brass.

I have wondered about the lee loader for my pistol rounds. I dont shoot them as often as I do my rifles but have seriously wondered about a lee loader to take with me to work up loads for my AR and some of my other guns so please let me know how that works out for you!!I have yet to need a pocket swager for .223 either. It would come in handy for those 9mm NATO crimped cases. I'm just looking for an excuse.
I'm sticking to CFE223 for now. 55gr Winchester Soft point over 25gr of CFE223. From the online load data, that should be a safe starting load. I'll work my way up from there.
I found a good deal on a Lee Loader for .45 ACP. I couldn't resist it. I already use a very hands on reloading system. The Lee Loader looks like it would be a complete hoot to use.
Reloading is addictive. What can I say?![]()

John I dont have the pocket swager and so far (knock on wood) havent needed it. But I found a recipe today for 223's using my longshot powder. 11gr behind a 55gr bullet, supersonic 2800fps. gonna give it a try. I bought the longshot for my 45 colts but then bought H110 for them, although I have loaded 20 rounds with 12.3gr of Longshot. Now I am going to load 15rounds of 223 with Longshot and see how they do. 11gr of powder if they work would be a bunch of rounds out of a pound of powder.
