This... is my BOOMstick! The 12-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about $109.95. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel... and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart.

:D

YES! That's what I am talking about haha!

:D

Only native americans and indigenous aboriginal tribes should be allowed to use such a term. :D

Well neither the 15 or the 15-22 are ar's anymore according to the S & W website they are Modern Sporting Rifles :D a less scary title to the uninformed. So we have the MSR M & P 15-22 but I just call her sweet thang ;)

when speaking to people that know what it is, i refer to it as my 15-22

when speaking to someone that may not know what it is i say its an AR-15 style 22.

I call it 15-22. Pretty much everyone I know already knows that it's a Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22. It just how if you say 10/22 everyone already assumes a Ruger 10/22.

I wouldn't call it an AR15-22 because to me that is a standard AR15 with a either a dedicated 22LR barreled upper or one with a 22LR conversion kit.

Before I got my 15-22, I called it a BR-16 (Boyfriend Replellant for 16 Year old daughters). AR 15-22 sounds very gay, not that there is anything wrong with being gay. Anyway, what was our consensus? Just 15-22?

On this forum, 15-22, because we all know what we are referring to.

To anyone else, it's a Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 - exactly what S&W says it is. :)

That is what my Saiga Predator AK-47 was designated as when it was imported. A "Sporting Rifle!" ;)

But, there are still many on this forum who refer to it as an AR15-22. Hence, my confusion with the whole matter.

There are also some who want to buy clips for their "AR15-22"...

Personally, I think it's important to use the correct firearms terminology when discussing firearms, on a firearms forum (don't type "extractor" when you mean "ejector", etc.)
You wouldn't post on a car enthusiast website about a "supercharger" when you meant a "turbocharger", would you?
