"Buffer Tube" Plug - Who got one?

I got it. Came with my basic model 15-22 from walmart.

so the only difference is the MBUS sights and the QD swivel attachment?

MBUS, no QD attachment.

My APG camo'd 15-22 came with one. Dang it, I was about to take a picture of it and noticed that the darn thing fell out!

I tried calling S&W a while back to order a replacement and was told that there was no part number available in order to obtain one.

home depot must sell something that can be used. pretty much a standard plug with a little grab tab on it.

from the sound of it, it would probably stay put better too.

I would think that compliant rifles would not have them.
After all, you need to be able to retract the stock in order to be able to use it (unless you have REALLY long fingers).

It's much easier to remove if you take your stock off.

That's part of my point, on a compliant rifle the stocks are pinned in place, it takes tools to even get them off.
