Your Beverage For Ushering In The New Year

Either Balvenie Double Cask, a 12yr. old single malt scotch, or Glenlevit Nadura, a 16 yr. old single malt. Maybe a little bit of each!

Not being much of a drinker, this year will be a JD Single Barrel Select. And probably a Diet Dr. Pepper. A lot of them.....

It will probably be Welches sparkling grape juice. Now for Xmas my father in law got me a big bottle of Crown Royal Black. Not sure what size it is, but the bottle is glass and has a handle on it. The funny part is that I really do not drink. I sip now and then and maybe drink a 1L bottle of JD or JB a year.

Just juiced up the last of our home grown carrots.....ain't nothing like licking fresh carrot juice foam off yer lips while sitting back watching the fire crackle and giving yer sweetie a special squeeze....

Going to a friend's house to celebrate one of the women's birthdays.

Not a drinker, so IF, and it's a big IF, I see the ball drop, it will be with a Coke Zero. I have to drive about 45 minutes back home after the little party and don't want anything to take my attention from the drunks who are also on the road.

I really hope to be home and in bed by 10:30 or a bit later as we have a trap competition on New Years Day.

Bob

Templeton Rye whiskey...if its good enough for Al Capone it's good enough for me! Plus, I turn 40 tomorrow so everyone celebrates with me. Whatever your drink of choice...have a safe and happy New Year!

Did you know almost 5 billion dollars was spent on liquor last December in the U. S. of A.!

If you wake up the next morning with a hangover it's a sign the liquor was made wrong even after being real drunk the night before.

Would you also believe the best rum is made in the Appalachian Mountains and not in the Caribbean?
I guess I don't need to say anything about the whiskeys,
brandy, and other distilled spirits?

When you hear "Appalachian Heart", it's not a location...
it's the "center cut"!

...without a tax stamp!

Will get home from the ER on Tuesday morning and will have a glass of wine before I go to bed. Probably a Muscadet from France.

Prolly ice tea 'til 10:30 or 11:00 pm (might sip a glass of Moscato or port) then hit the bed so's I can get up with the chickens and buy my hunting and fishing license for the year........

Roger Roger, it's amateur night- watch 'em...

Pfff, Bud Light ya snobs!
In mass quantities, followed by whatever rot gut liquor I can suck down.
Sometimes quantity is a quality all it's own!

Going to a friend's house, so it will be whatever he has out on the bar. Not much of it: I have a four block walk home.

since i drink very little any more, maybe a little woodford reserve with ice or A de Fussigny cognac cigare blend.

i'm cheap and don't drink a lot..i'll be sitting at home with the wife and kids. she'll most likely have a glass or two of Riunite Blackberry Merlot and I'll crack a bottle or 2 of coors light...

I've been lovingly working on a bottle of Ballantine 30 year old Scotch given to me by my F-I-L. It was bottled in 1966. He has cases upon cases of amazing high end libations. All dating back decades when he owned a liquor store. He slides me a bottle every so often. God bless that man!

So at 77 years old this scotch has mellowed to a point where even smelling the cork (yes cork) is orgasmic. Kicking my feet up with a topped off rocks glass is a slice of heaven that I can't recommend strongly enough. If it didn't taste so dam good (and I had a higher tolerance for pain) I would give thought to shooting this stuff right into my arm. It's that addicting.
