I sure do have crappy luck with things falling out. I still have the hard case it came in. Has an extra mag, holster, and mag holder. Not even a spot for anything else, only the paperwork and lock underneath the foam. Oh well, at least I have one loader to look forward to :)

Weird

I'm sure SA will send you one.

Does your mag holder have a picatinny rail on the side?
The loader can attach to it.

Ya I'm going to get a hold of them, that sure would've helped the girlfriend when she's loading mags, she always has both her hands open, palms up, with the mag in one hand and the last two rounds in the other and a disappointed face. It's kinda cute really, but she hates it. Ya I think my mag holder has a picatinny rail on the side if I remember correctly, I'll have to check when I get home on Friday. I can't remember if it's that one or the one I bought for my sig. I'm gonna feel real dumb if it's attached to my mag holder and I've had it all this time.

Hello everyone , hope everyone had a good holiday!
just talked to the tool shop, and they are finally working on my mold,
everything looks good for the end on the month so far!!!(providing no major problems)if my silent partner Mr. Murphy law stays at home for a bit!!!:) price is still looking good for for $30-$35.. cant wait,,
PS no luck on the Pennsylvania grant:(. apparently this is a small fry project, and keeping a few people working isn't enough for them to get their names in the paper!!!!, but lucky for you guys i like saving my pennies and will front all the mulla for this one i guess.:)

Good to hear things are still moving along. Hope you had a good holiday too.

I really like XtremeBen's loader. It's compact (one piece) and seems to work well -- holding a full 25 rounds to be loaded at a time. It's not slow, but not overly fast. It's also complicated and expensive, but you don't have to use the load assist tabs. He has mentioned that he's sold more than expected so far and that is good as he may eventually be able to bring the price down.

For the skunkwerkz design, I like that it is very simple, but it is multiple parts and bigger. The initial price will be lower though. Because you can't load a full 25 rounds in this one and have to reload the filler tube, but it is faster because of the way it holds the rounds and you use the load assist tabs.

What I would like to see for the skunkwerkz design is essentially the ability to use it in two pieces. The rapid loader portion that would normally be used to fill the loading tube connected to the magazine cap would be part one, and the magazine cap would be part two. I would use some plastic tubes to make a number of ammo holders that could then be used later with the magazine cap without needing the rapid loader portion. Then I'd just fill as many of the tubes as I would expect to need at home, then load (or reload) the magazines at the range with the magazine cap and preloaded tubes. I've attached some pictures of the tubes I'm envisioning, that can hold the full 25 rounds at a time.

i see what you are saying and my first designs were being designed around a one piece design, but i began running into engineering problems and pat infringement issues and not to mention the cost of the tooling for molding increased dramatically because of the complicity of the part design. thats why it all ending up the way it is.
simple, easy to use, and cheap tooling design,,,PS the tube in my cap design is removable, so you can feel free to do a one off modification if you wish. remember I'm not marketing this as a speed loader, just a load assist tool.

..ps. I alway welcome any coments or suggestions, thats what makes this forum great.
