Right around Dec 17th I ordered four 25 round mags from Botach and four from 44Mag. The ones from Botach came in plastic bags with the typical S&W cardboard top...the ones from 44Mag came without any sort of packaging. I'm not complaining....I'm glad they arrived. I've never purchased from 44mag before and was just wondering is that how they normally ship?
How did you come in contact with this "S&W rep"? Every rep I have talked to or heard feedback from are saying that their manufacturers are making these magazines as fast as they can, and shipping out orders in full force.
You weren't just trying to stoke a fire to increase your gunbroker sales now were you?![]()
"How did I come in contact with this S&W rep?" I called 1-800-331-0852 very early one morning.
Well I raised hell about it today...and S&W must have been listening, because they immediately became an industry partner with AR15.com this morning and started fielding questions. Everyone from their company I spoke with had no clue what you are talking about.
So I'm not buying it.
So what did they say?

is S & W discontinuing production of 15-22 25 round mags? - AR15.COM
Best Company to Back Order M&P Mags?? - AR15.COM
They personally told me on the phone this morning they cannot keep up with orders and have no plans of ceasing production.
They don't manufacture the magazines in house, they have outside suppliers.
+1 on that^, i called every LGS in my area and with in a 50mile radius no one has them around my area. i guess i am SOL and stuck with just one that came with my gun. gonna hit a Gun&knife show here in my area this weekend and HOPE i can get some at a decent price. probably not but worth a try.
i take that back, just called a local place he has 5 left. $65 a piece. ill pass.
Looks like I'm SOL, got this from S&W today....
Dear Smith & Wesson online customer,

Due to a computer problem, a group of orders placed on the Smith & Wesson website during that time period were not capable of being uploaded to our system to generate the order in-house. Only a specific group of orders placed within that timeframe were affected and your order was part of that group.
We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. If your order was for a magazine or M&P upper assembly, those items were out of stock at the time you placed the order and are still currently out of stock and on backorder.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter. We will be taking steps in the coming weeks to prevent this type of problem in the future.

I have a confession....
2 weeks ago, when guys were calling and getting mixed answers on the availability of 25 round mags, FDE especially, I also called. But when I called I was told "they had a bunch" to which I responded "how many" to which he said "how many do you want" to which I blurted out "10" (and I only wanted 5 really) to which he said "ok" to which I said "ok, lets do it".
And today, despite also being told they do not send out email confirmations... I got one that my 10 FDE 25 round mags had shipped.
I orignally didn't say anything here - despite people saying they had none - as I didn't want to add to the confusing voices with a different answer that had come out of S&W until I was 100% sure - now I am sure. But, now that I have an email confirm - one I should not have gotten so they claim - my 10 FDE are in bound!
I get this today. I recieved an order number when I placed the order.
