15-22 Mags

Right around Dec 17th I ordered four 25 round mags from Botach and four from 44Mag. The ones from Botach came in plastic bags with the typical S&W cardboard top...the ones from 44Mag came without any sort of packaging. I'm not complaining....I'm glad they arrived. I've never purchased from 44mag before and was just wondering is that how they normally ship?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the ones from the S&W site ship bagless as well?
I got four of these today and check out the fancy ProMag packaging. That can't be as cheap as the S&W plastic bag. I'm sure they use this for other mags but what a waste of plastic. At some point it has to affect product cost.

How did you come in contact with this "S&W rep"? Every rep I have talked to or heard feedback from are saying that their manufacturers are making these magazines as fast as they can, and shipping out orders in full force.
You weren't just trying to stoke a fire to increase your gunbroker sales now were you?

Well I raised hell about it today...and S&W must have been listening, because they immediately became an industry partner with AR15.com this morning and started fielding questions. Everyone from their company I spoke with had no clue what you are talking about.
So I'm not buying it.
So what did they say?

Best Company to Back Order M&P Mags?? - AR15.COM
They personally told me on the phone this morning they cannot keep up with orders and have no plans of ceasing production.
They don't manufacture the magazines in house, they have outside suppliers.

I've ordered five times from 44mag and all came bag less. I have a hunch they buy in such large quantities they get a price break from taking them in bulk.

Yeah, expect ***holes on armslist and ebay to jack prices, but if your LGS is, just tell them you will remember that when things cool down in a few months and walk out.

I have a confession....
2 weeks ago, when guys were calling and getting mixed answers on the availability of 25 round mags, FDE especially, I also called. But when I called I was told "they had a bunch" to which I responded "how many" to which he said "how many do you want" to which I blurted out "10" (and I only wanted 5 really) to which he said "ok" to which I said "ok, lets do it".
And today, despite also being told they do not send out email confirmations... I got one that my 10 FDE 25 round mags had shipped.
I orignally didn't say anything here - despite people saying they had none - as I didn't want to add to the confusing voices with a different answer that had come out of S&W until I was 100% sure - now I am sure. But, now that I have an email confirm - one I should not have gotten so they claim - my 10 FDE are in bound!

I received that same email today. And the more I think about it the more it p.......s me off. I had ordered 2 mags on the 29th. I can understand a computer glitch, but it is just the way they went about it. Like we really shouldn't be upset even though they are just notifying us now and because they were on backorder at the time. Why would they wait so long to notify us about this and even then why didn't they just process those orders at that point. Just total Bull. Apparently some of the orders were taken in that time frame with no problem. Just not good customer service if you ask me and I will not be buying anything else from them. Part of the reason I bought this particular gun was because of the brand name. I love the gun but this just leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Sorry for the rant. I'm done

I placed my order about 8:30am est on 1/2/13 for 7 FDE 25rd mags on the phone with S&W. I received them in the mail today. Glad I called my order in. Hopefully everyone will get what they have ordered and the back orders get filled in a timely manner whatever that is now with all this BS going on.

Glad I picked up 15 extra 25 round mags from my LGS when I bought my 15-22 a few months back. I took about 1/3 of what they had. They are all gone now and they didn't gouge anyone selling them.

Well........... since you only wanted 5 but have 10 on the way and since I havent been able to get any in FDE I will be a nice guy and take the trouble of the other 5 off your hands for you.
