Oklahoma SB548. Is your state getting one of these? If not then it should.

"The ‘Oklahoma 2nd Amendment Preservation Act’ threatens to incarcerate, for five years, any federal governmental official, who endeavours to enforce in Oklahoma the new gun control proposals of Barack Obama."

If nothing else it makes a statement.

Yup. Alaska has a bill introduced making it a misdemeanor offense for any federal agent to try and enforce any new gun laws. If every state does it, maybe they'll finally get the picture.

Is it true that select fire is legal in FL? Or more easily obtainable? If so would've thought they'd be more inclined to do something like this than other states.

Dikinalaska,
Select fire anything falls under the NFA of 1934. There's no getting arond that. Without a signed and stamped Form 4, select fire weapon in civilian hands is a felony. Period.

I can almost see the Red River from here..........

Where am I gonna land, north or south of it? I don't rightly know...

Won't matter much I don't guess, might even flee to the Cowboy State.

Just glad to see some backbone amongest our state(s) leaders.

I can't sing...But I can hum, maybe a few bars of the ol Oklahoma Hills

Ya, guess I worded it wrong. I understand the NFA part, but it seems like there's a lot more of them in FL. Maybe it's just my perspective. I visited Orlando back in October and there was a quite a few ranges that you could go, I guess "rent" for lack of a better word many FA weapons. The only time I've ever seen in person, and had the pleasure to fire a FA pistol. Beretta 93R. For the record you can't hit squat with those, but it was a very pleasant experience :)

I see. Normally it means one of two things:
One, the locality contains Sherriffs who will sign the form 4.
Two, a "living trust" is legal there, bypassing the Sherriff.

Ya, I was looking into the trust route for a couple suppressors, but I think I might wait to see what happens before I drop the money on it.
