Shield 9mm $445 plus $25 shipping to my FFL..

MA Compliant is a 10lb trigger pull versus the 6 lb of a standard Shield. I talked to the guy yesterday and he had about 10 of them. I debated getting one, but switching to a standard trigger or an upgraded one was too much.

I doubt they will ship though. Noone seems to want to ship. A bunch of places have them but will not ship. Shoot straight in florida has them but will not ship. I've never seen one in any shop I've been to in IL.

Whats the point of having something in stock if you are unwilling to consumate the deal by shipping the product ???

I really debate between the Compact and the Shield. I went with the Shield and it will be here tomorrow. I hope you enjoy your Compact.

On the switch from MA compliant to regular, any details? The guy at D&L said it was not a DIY, you would have to send it back to S&W. My quick research looked like I could just buy a trigger kit, but it was more like $100+, not a few bucks.

Picked up my .40 shipped from Shoot Straight in Lakeland today (was actually delivered to my FFL on Wednesday). Highly recommend them! Great service and AWESOME gun!

My lgs has 2 shields in 9mm $485. in sw florida

They are definitely starting to show up in more locations but the bigger stores are getting the advantage. My favorite shop locally only gets 1 or 2 guns of any kind every few days so they'll likely never have one. Meanwhile a shop 5 miles away gets a few Shields every couple of weeks, you just have to time it right because NONE of the shops are taking names to call when they come in. I'm now just calling 3 shops every day until I get one.
