Banned for life from THR.

Sometimes a Google search will lead to me a thread there. After reading a few, I've never felt the urge to join.

I got banned from the SIG forum a year or so ago, for making a joke about the e2 grips, relating hand size to...well, you know. Nothing profane or explicit, although there even the moderator uses profanity. Another member responded with his own joke, for which the moderator scolded him. He responded with some ire, and the moderator banned us both! I hadn't even responded or commented after the initial exchange of jokes.

Lesson learned: SIGs are serious guns. No kidding. :p

I've read a few posts on THR after a goodle search turned up some topics there, but I've never had the urge to join.

I've only been a member here a year but really respect and enjoy all of the people on here. Recently I joined a couple others for specific reasons to ask a question. The lack of or rudeness of responses (on other forums) is amazing when compared to here.

Guess those other forum members just don't appreciate the greatness of broccoli.

I got banned from one (I wont mention which one) because I had a difference of opinion on rifle training. All the owner could come up with is my spelling, saying if I couldn't spell I can't make a very good rifle instructor.

I got banned because I pointed out three spelling errors in his post about my spelling.

Didn't bother me a whole lot. When I hired on during the interview the Chief laugh and told me I couldn't spell worth a hoot, then hired me. That same department (and the Alaska Police Standards council) certified me as a LE Sniper Instructor.

Anyway, I retired 19 years ago, after twenty years, I still teach rifle shooting, but I still can't spell.

This is the only forum I use at all anymore. I joined a few others but quickly got tired of the additudes, atmosphere, and political views, etc.
The one that lets you delete your account got deleted and the others I simply logged off with no fanfare, never to return.

I love this place.

When it comes to self-defense, or deterring bad guys, a spelling contest wouldn't be my weapon of choice either! ;)

Checkman- I guess you can honestly say you took The High Road to get here!:D Welcome home!:D

In the future, don't press "okay."

only forum I ever had problems with was the Hi-point forums, even though the people running it have changed and the mods are gone I will never go back.

What's funny is that I joined this forum in 03 also then spent the next two years (+) just creeping around and not posting. I was too intimidated - didn't know enough about S&W was my excuse. I got over that.

I copied (plagiarized) a joke on this forum about the tendencie of Hispanics to own and utilize lawn maintenance equipment as a means to gain financial remuneration and placed it on my state specific gun forum and was summarily banned with extreme prejudice. This really bit me in the butt because I've done several gun trades within the state using that forum. I should have known better. I tried to bring some of the jocularity accepted here, to some knucklehead junior PC enforcers on said forum.
