Just ordered from PrimaryArms the new FDE Gen II Ultimate Weapons Light with Tape Switch, plus the MOE Illumination Kit and the Coyote Tan Magpul MS3 Sling.

Another day, another package!

Today my PrimaryArms UWL (Ultimate Weapons Light), MOE Illumination kit and Magpul MS3 sling arrived.

I am very pleased with the quality of the PA UWL, it's not made in the USA like a Surefire but where ever in China they go to, machines the parts right. The threads are tight but not gritty, very well done on the o-rings plus it converts from 3 CRV to 2 CRV cells by removal of part of the flash light body. The integrated thumb screw mount works well, it needs L5 rail space and can be replaced with the American Defense AD-170 QD Mount or LaRue 170 mount (uses the standard Surefire mounting spaces).

With the MOE Illumination kit the only part you can use is the tape switch cover and it needed a little trim work to fit (which is why Magpul made the area that covers the tape switch, thin so that you can trim it. The included cantilever mount is only L3 so that won't work with the PA mount. (Knew that before I bought it and didn't care).

The MS3 sling is great! works as described, goes from Single to Double within seconds. Easy to adjust and since I have the QD Port on the ACS stock it just "clicks" right in!

Loving the light and the sling! Seriously anyone thinking about buying a high quality light, you can pick up the UWL with tailcap/tapeswitch from PA for $109 and it's well made! And bright! And convertible! (Also will accept any of the Surrefire filter covers on the end of the light).

I really have fun with that stock- its just a toy- Slidefire and Fostech have been in litigation since Fostech has the Akins patent assigned to them and claims Slidefire has infringed. But I have always wondered why "big brother" never tried to have them banned even though there are no mechanical parts and all effort is operator

To all posters: them are some nice looking ARs.

I should have never started hanging out in this part of the forum. Seeing the pictures and reading about the fun is making bad impressions on me.

Now I have to admit I don't understand a majority of the lingo you fellas are using for parts and accessories but I enjoy figuring them out when pictures are included. I bought a M&P15-22 because it was a good deal and now I'm looking for a .223/5.56 to go along with the .22.

As a newbie I appreciate any pictures when they accompany the descriptions, it helps me to know what I am going to be looking for when I go shopping. Some would say you fellas and this forum are a bad influence but I beg to disagree. You fellas are teaching me (and others I'm sure) the finer points to accessorizing and just plain making them there ARs down right Purdy.

My new build color... OD Green... I just hit it with some OD i had in spray cans to see if i'd like the color... Now time to clean it and prep for Cerakote... Just waiting on my airbrush kit and Cerakote to arrive...

Think im going with a lightweight A1 CAR style

I think you should cancel the Cerakote order, change the order over to Burnt Bronze for the Upper/Lower and go with OD Furniture......

Yugo- the BRD must be a serious problem here in WVA! I am slightly behind you with 5 AR's but I am ahead of you with 3 1522's. I have 2 S&W's decked out in Magpul. One is in OD green and the other is in Foliage green. I like both but the OD green is a little prettier. And NO- I am not keeping up with you. I am done buying. Maybe-until the next time!

Brett- you Need some pmags in FDE for your gun. BTW- I like that sling and I hope you got your stuff from otto.

MP15.22- Think long and hard about what you want on your rifle. Check out the photo section in the other forum for ideas.

Burnt Bronze is awesome (maybe my next build) but im thinking OD for the upper/lower, FDE furniture and keeping the buffertube, barrel and small parts black... Sort of a camo kinda theme...Still up in the air at this moment
