I never thought about this before yesterday. Was sitting in a restuarant waiting for the food to arrive and was reading the label on the mayonnaise bottle (Hint, it wasn't Commanders Palace). Is said not to freeze. Now before that moment I had never thought about freezing mayonnaise but upon reading that admonition, I checked the bottles of mustard and ketchup on the table and nowhere on them was an anti-freeze warning. SO the question remains-why can't one freeze mayonnaise? Has anyone ever frozen a bottle and what where the results? My wife thought I was nutz, but then she got to thinking and can't come up with the answer either. So does anyone out there know why you aren't supposed to freeze mayonnaise? Is there a law or somethng????
When a lawyer asks me for advice?????
We are all DOOMED.

I think the mayo will separate when thawed. Part of it is fats, and they will probably not freeze properly. And, when the packet thaws, maybe the parts which are preservatives will go defunct or ineffective, which could render the food susceptible to bacteria, or some other malady which could cause a sudden, rapid loss of intestinal fortitude.........
