Looking for a site to order reliable reloaded bulk ammo from.

I've used LAX ammo and was pleased with service but I'm looking for another site to order from when LAX doesn't have what I'm looking for in stock.

Mainly looking for .45 ACP, 9mm, and 38 Special. Any suggestions?

I am using Freedom Munitions for my 40. Pricing has gone up n down. Their 40 was almost $190/ 500 in the spring. Tonight $128 / 500!!

Shoots fine so far. They sell both reload n new.

Good luck with 38, they rarely have it and it goes fast!

I've given up on the online folks for now. Every time I check they are out and no backorders are taken. I get what ammo I can these days from Academy as they have been the only reliable source for ammo. Granted some days here was little or nothing but it was more then anyone else had.
As to how long this mess will last I don't know.

I suggest you load your own.

Darned tootin.

I've found that best place for quality reloads is my basement. No matter what, the management sees to it that they always have what I need in stock and it's hard to beat the prices. For example today's production will be devoted to 125 grain plated flat points in 38 special. Cost will run about 16.5 cents per round or $8.25 per box of 50.

+1 for Freedom munitions, I just picked up some .40 reloads for $125 for 500 shipped. Fast shipping also.

I have good luck with Freedom Munitions also with both 9mm and 45acp, not so much on 38s. Like LadyT said, Academy around here is our best bet.

Yet another vote for Freedom Munitions. And yes"rolling your own"is indeed preferable and inevitably more than one will state the obvious, however there are some of us who can't or won't reload due to anything from physical disabilities to residency rules and regulations so please take that into consideration before "tooting" your own horn.

Her's the deal. The better and less expensive the Company is - the less likely they are to have what you want in stock. For instance, Mid South is excellent, but I hope you don't need anything for a year! Sites like Lucky Gunner might have something in stock, but you will pay through the nose and be prepared to grab your ankles when you check out. Unfortunately, that is just how things are right now.

Once in a while I'll wander into a LGS or Dick's and they will actually have something I want at a reasonable price. That has not happened too often though.

I realize you were referring to reloaded ammo and I am giving you an answer related to new ammo - but the same principles apply. My suggestion would be to "bite the bullet" and get into reloading. Unfortunately these days reloading is almost a requirement of you are going to shoot a lot - unless you are very well off. Not only will you pay for the equipment in short order, you can custom taylor loads to your specific needs and always have ammo to shoot.

I have a couple of friends that got into shooting about 3 years ago and when I originally talked to them about reloading they said they were not interested and did not have the time or ambition. Guess what....... after seeing how much ammo costs and how difficult it is to find, they all of a sudden found the time and bought reloading outfits.

I've gotten some nice range ammo from Georgia Arms, but they are dealing with one heck of a backlog. I'm still waiting on an order that I placed back on September 14th.
Might give Freedom Munitions a whirl next time. And you bet your booty that I will roll my own, when I move into a house.
