Another music thread. Post Obscure great songs.

A song by Steve Miller off "The Joker" album, a couple of good, obscure songs on that album that NEVER get played, however I will admit, that if I hear "take the money and run" one more time I'll probably chum!

Leon Russell doing "A song for you" the way it should be.
Ray Charlles version of "Yesterday" makes Paul McCartney sound like a pre-pubescent boy.
I rarely hear Dr Hook "Cover of the Rolling Stone" even though twice a day would not be enough.
Southern Rock/Country "Piece of wood and steel" frm David Allen Coe.

I have read through a lot of the responses and I am a little surprised to see how many never cared for Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. I always felt like I was the only one that didn't like their music.

I never cared for a lot of the heavy metal stuff. I never did drugs so I was not able to get behind the music of that culture. I never cared much for what I call "bubblegum rock" either.

I do love my two favorite kinds of music. Country AND Western. :p :D

"A woman left lonely"............Janis Joplin. I think it is one of her best. But it had the bad luck to be the "flip side" of "Me and Bobby Mc Gee". Even today many people have never heard of it.

As you all may notice I am not much of a hard rocker.

Having said that I also say that the most under appreciated man of the era is and was the great Gene Pitney. His voice was pretty much unsurpassed in the genre.
I would have loved to heard him sing with Orbison.
