What is a Good IWB Holster for CC of M&P?

Another vote for Crossbreed Supertuck. This is my third Crossbreed holster, I've had Kholster and Galco Summer Comfort in the past but I keep coming back to Crossbreed. Good quality stuff!

I still prefer a dual clip set up as it keeps everything from shifting around. The single clip is great for a quick install if going somewhere, but for all day comfort and stability I prefer the dual clip setup.

The way the N8^2 holsters are made is different than any other single clip holster that I've seen. They are backed with suede leather which creates enough friction to keep it in place without being abrasive at all to the skin.

I just ordered a Theis Holster for my Shield9. Been carrying in a PJHolster kydex which is great. Just want to try something different.

I ordered a Kydex .08 IWB and I hate it. It's way too tight. It's marred my slide (Anyone know how I can fix this BTW?).

I've tried to loosen it and no change. It's tough to draw my M&P and when I place it in the holster it actually presses the slide back almost enough to cock it!!

I need to find something usable!!!

Without knowing what you have and where you got it from... I'd recommend you contact the company who made the holster and tell them about the issue(s) you are having with their product and give them a chance to make it right.

Check out Lobogunleather.com. Ray is a member here and does outstanding work. Do a search and you'll find out from us members just how good his holsters are.

I have one of Rays IWB horsehide holsters with the offset clip for my LCR. It's a great little holster that's sits deep in your waistband. I need to get one for my Shield before the warm weather gets here.

Try one out. You won't be disappointed.

I kind of like the looks of the Galco King Tuk for an IWB holster but am open to any advice. This will be my first Concealed Carry. I'm about 5'11" but weigh 250.
Not that I have much use for 'em any more but I have some pretty good sized "love handles":o. Seriously though, does my build kind of dictate what type of holster or CC style I should use?

You didn't mention which M&P you're looking to CC. Is it full sized, compact, the Shield?

If full sized or the compact, I'd agree that Alien Gear is an excellent choice. It has the features of the higher end hybrid holsters, without the inflated price tag.

If you have the Shield, the recommendation of the DeSantis SOF Tuck or The Insider would either one be good choices. I have an SOF Tuck and it's great with my Shield, but didn't work well at all with my Glock 19. It fit the Glock 19 fine, but the gun was simply too heavy to be carried with a single clip. It moved around too much and wasn't very comfortable. with my Shield it's a dream. Stays in place and isn't very noticeable from either a comfort or printing perspective.

Here's a pic of my leather IWB holster I just picked up recently, loving this too for a quality leather IWB at a very good price.

Picked up a Raven Concealment Phantom as my first holster. Surprisingly, it works great for IWB using their offset wings and tuckable loops. So thin and light.

I assume a hybrid or leather holster would be more comfortable, but I had no problems wearing the Phantom all day while working in our backyard, clearing out a spot for a home range. After a while, I didn't even notice it. And the retention is excellent. Love the positive "snap" you get. Fits perfectly. The downside? The price. But I'm impatient, and they had the one I wanted in their Quick Ship section, so I got it in 3 days.

May pick up an Alien Head too to give hybrids a try. Can't beat that price!

Just got back to review this thread. I have the full sized M&P9 with the Crimson Trace Grips. I've took several guy's advice and have ordered an Alien Gear IWB specific to the Crimson Trace grips. A nice touch I thought. Wondering about a good belt and cover garment for summer wear. Taking my CC class Friday. I'm a newbie so any advice would be appreciated!

I went with a Remora IWB yesterday. After watching several videos on YouTube, I was convinced that this is perfect for my frame and body type. I made an order then realized I made a mistake. I called to make an adjustment to the order and they added the sweatshield, then gave me 30% off!!!

Here is another vote for Comp-tac.

I use the infidel on all my carry pieces and love it.

Whenever i buy a new carry gun i always budget the cost with the gun for a new comp-tac to go with it!

From the pic I seen on their website it looks like the front 1/2" or so of the laser slides into the holster. But they do offer one specific to the Crimson Trace grips. Hasn't arrived yet. I'll post a pic when it does.
