S&W just bought their plastics supplier. Will S&W make a Glock 19 sized M&P pistol with all that plastic within the next couple years? Ever? They have to know it's wanted and I think it would sell like hot cakes.

The 9c is too small, the pinky hangs off without a silly extender and only holds 12 rounds. The full sized 9 is too big to conceal well. The 19 size is perfect.

I don't want a .45 caliber, I want a 9mm with 15 + 1 rounds. Just think S&W could get some good sales going with one.

C'mon, you can do it. I've carried concealed a 4' model 14, a 3" 629, a 5906, a 4566tsw and presently a full size M&P 45. Each one was perfect. C'mon, you can do it.

I'd say it's possible. The SD9VE is pretty much the exact same size as a G19. It even fits in G19 holsters.

While not an M&P, the SD9VE is just about the same dimensions as the G19...and it holds 16 + 1 (standard capacity.) Many people don't like the trigger, but I think it's fine. If someone just has to, there are aftermarket kits to reduce the pull.

The SD9VE sells around here regularly for $320, which is about $200 less than you can buy a Glock or M&P. I don't know that S&W will make an M&P in this size, unless they discontinue the SDVE series...but since they sell like hotcakes, I don't know that the SDVE series will be going anywhere.

I've got pretty big hands and use the large palmswell. With the 10 rd finger rest mag, my pinky doesn't hang off.
You must have huge mitts.

To me they already have a G19 size gun in their FS models. I have compared my FS 9 and FS 40 to my G19 and they are almost the same size. The M&P FS are slightly longer but not by much, less then 1/2 inch. The height is essentially the same.

The Glock 19/23/32 are in my opinion the BEST sized handguns ever.

S&W doesn't compete because in this case Glock is perfection.

Perhaps they should M&P it, like they did to the Bodyguard.

Not if you don't like the grip. I want to like glocks and will probably get a 30sf or 30s to try to get use to the feel of the grip. The 45c is nice but wanna try to give the glock a try.

Why? The 9c and FS9 bracket the 19 nicely. No need for one in between.

I agree......my 9c is slightly smaller than a G-19, and bigger than a G-26......It hides better than a G-19, and it holds more than a G-26.........No need for a G-19 sized gun

I fully agree. I tried hard to like glock. But holy hell that grip is horrible. Imo

I hope S&W doesn't screw up a good thing. I like M&Ps too...but for the money, the SDVE series guns are a really good alternative to anything out there in the same or even somewhat higher price bracket.

I wish S&W would make a SD45VE...Ruger has come out with the SR45 now, although it's having some teething issues. They'll get it sorted out.

Already done! Take a M&P Compact and put it up to the Glock 19 or 23, they are the same size. Some folks mistakenly think the M&P Compact is same size as G26/27, they are NOT. Put the actual guns side by side and you will see.
