got this in state (3 hour drive) for a great price with less than 200 rnds thru it

but if you wander into the WTB section youll see that i wasnt paying attention!
did that to my sweetie last week and she is never going to forgive me

I think that barrel is done. Too bad! Good/New barrels might be hard to find soon.

How did that happen? Handloads?

I've seen the Glock bulge on .40 casings, but never a S&W bulge on barrels. I'm sure there is a story behind the picture, care to share.

a squib almost always makes a pffffttt sound
a dud just goes click
i wasnt pay attention and shucked a fresh round behind a squib that stuck the bullet in the barrel.
you can see the rest of the story
a new barrel will fix it right up but still
could have wrecked the gun or worse!!! your guns will talk to you but you must listen to what they say

and just for the record
these were not hot loads at all

ohh hell it already was my EDC
ive had it since March
and have shot the snot out of it
i was even able to decipher the secrets of the trigger
and made a safe but even more awesome reset!
all the boys that shoot her want to take her home!!

and i busted her plumbing!!!!!

what does EDC mean ?

For me it means a Combat Troodon, a Olight m18, a 4566TSWSSV or Shorty45 mk2 and a reload. There's a wallet & keys in there too. EDC (Every Day Carry) are those things you have immediately available on your person every day in order to deal with whatever may come your way good or bad. Best to have it and not need the thing than to need it and not have it

Cool! I just bought the same model off Gunbroker a couple of weeks ago. Not sure how many rounds have been through it, but judging by the condition (not a single scratch, ding or even edge wear), it wasn't many. I was very happy to get it for $290. Picked up three 411(11 rounds, vs. 10 in the, uh, 410) mags for less than $60 last week.

So, what are the secrets of the trigger and reset?

really its 2 things
make sure all the mating/working surfaces in the linkage are square and smooth (thats not easy)

and i lapped about .002" off of each side of the sear spring

that really made the difference

not that it was bad to start with
but im a trigger snob
