Who would you rather have as backup?

I currently have two books on the coffee table next to me- No Second Place Winner and Tales of the Stakeout Squad.

Weird situational "what if" popped into my head.

You're wearing a badge and are going in to arrest a couple of bad apples. Who would you rather have as your wingman, Bill Jordan or Jim Cirillo? While I am fully aware that either man "will do to ride the river with", you have to choose one.

My choice is Bill Jordan due to his quick draw skills. Both were steely eyed gunmen, no doubt. I think Jordan could react to the opening of the ball a little faster though.

No really I think Jordans fast handling of a handgun wouldn't mean much, he would use a long gun in a serious fight. He was one smart border patrol agent.

I've read both of them, and maybe I've got too much of a poetic imagination, but it almost comes down to a matter of style:
Jordan is the guy I'd want next to me walking up to the OK Corral (or that type of situation), but when it comes to getting down and dirty in a bad part of the big city, Cirillo kind of seems the natural choice.

I would take Barney Fife, that way if he screwed up the arrest and got himself killed. I could easily get the drop on them while he had em distracted.

Cirillo. Jordan's fast draw means nothing ouside of Hollywood. If you are walking into a potentially bad situation, your gun better already be in your hand. Do you think Jelly Bryce kept his gun in a holster and relied on a fast draw?
